Ok so how do you plan to work Diemons? I've been wondering about this ever since you brought it up.
Diemons (or Diémon) are tiny spirits locked within dice. If your SN user is a summoner type, it can release the diemon as a kind of level zero creature to buff up with other SN dice. The basic diemon is size zero with zero armor, and on each turn it chooses between using its single die for either Movement or for Skill. It's not very useful on its own, but it's the foundation for summoning anything larger or more substantial.

Each diemon gets a single bonus according to its die type. A d4pion has a burning roll every turn, allowing it to damage anything it touches but also to burn out and disappear. A d6creant starts with a point of structure level. A d8vian can choose a specific d8-based specialty or flight movement at creation. A d10amyte can explode. A d12vard has Stealth and can pass through objects.

There's also a bunch of fluff about each of the dice's home Diemensions; I'll be curious to see what people think of those.

Selection of music, say about 5 songs max, all pre-planned before battle. You must have these songs downloaded and ready to play during the battle. The selection must be made up of 4 subjectively fitting Brikwars songs and one utter peace of crap musical regimentia, something mass market and widely renowned by most people for being shite. Silva probably has most of these on his playlist. When the Bard is called on to play the owning player must roll a D6. Work out the buffs/debuffs you want to use for each song before hand. Try to make them fun and in keeping with the music.

1 - Critical Fail: play the garbage song. All players must listen to the entire song. The enemy player may only gain a slight buff to his Hero's rolls for that turn IF he likes the song played and must sing the lyrics to prove it. The owning players army gains an instant debuff and all working buffs end immediately. The barred is removed from play permanently due to friendly fire.

2-5 Success: Again these songs must play out and all buffs last for that turn. Have the buffs worked out before hand for each song. IF the owning player can sing the lyrics AND where appropriate, air guitar, or even play an instrument well during the song then it becomes a God Song and the buff allows all the players Hero's a +1 to their rolls that turn.

6 - Artistic Temperament: This little diva has just blown the gig and is off screwing high on drink/drugs. Remove the barred from play. The owning players army is now irate at losing their deposit without refund and having the gig cancelled at short notice. All the owning players Hero's suffer a -1 to their rolls that turn due to being preoccupied with angry protesters.

Finally browsing the rulebook and its updates since I've been away. Very pleased with many of the changes.

Quick note of clarification as I see that melee weapons now deal damage based on the skill die code of the wielder. Does that mean, then, that every attack by a hero with a melee weapon is explosive? Apologies if this has already been covered elsewhere.

Sadly, it's just a d10 of regular damage. But I won't blame you if you "accidentally" misinterpret it.

Well, explosions can hamper the survival of redshirts. But, it would be nice to "remember" (read reinterpret) when the Hero needs to go on a suicide run. Also love the "shockwave" possibility with a 2-handed melee weapon.

Still catching up on updates. So minds are now a flat cost for any creation. That I like. Let's say I want to have a non-Minifig possess a heroic ego (one of my custom minotaurs for instance). Any CP limitation or additional cost?

Quick question on the upcoming changes. Does the Marksman function like the Marksmanship specialty from 2001?
The unit’s training has focused on the use of ranged weapons, at some cost to its skill in hand-to-hand combat. The unit has +1 to Skill when firing a ranged weapon, and -2 to Skill when attacking with or defending against Close Combat weapons. This Specialty is appropriate to units like archers, musketeers, rifle men, or snipers.
Or is it something new? Also what is the function of the Commando unit? Awhile back there was a discussion about running Commando/Special Forces as Officers minus the command ability. But the listed stats clearly have him as something different.
