I'd love having a tripod, though I'd love having a real camera first.

Me and Colette agree that natural lighting is the best lighting. Basically if you can use sunlight, you're good.

I tend to agree.

However, if you want to do it indoors, build a lightbox.  I made mine out of a cardboard box and thin white cloth.  I use basic desk lamps and photoshop the white levels.  It sounds like a lot, but it isn't really.
