Re: 2013 SETS THREAD
That's what I thought when I first saw them. I estimate the fig alone will be 12+ euros if you try to buy it separately, considering the size of the set.
Uhh, I can probably get over it since the army of the dead was the worst-executed part of the movie imo.

I can now see that my next paycheck must be used building more storage areas for all the epic lego stuff coming out this summer.

Not keen on the molded eagle. I think the small wizard battle is my favorite.

Re: 2013 SETS THREAD
I'm actually a little disappointed by that one. I was hoping for trans piece to have the wizards fly around and some kind of interior of Orthanc.
I agree with you on the eagle though. Would've liked a brick-built one better... though I guess some of the Creator sets have those. The Creator sets are often overlooked imo, there's a couple of awesome ones around, both the creations themselves as the parts.

I think y'all are missing the dark orange leaves in the Rivendell set. First we get dark red, now dark orange? Possible fall trees to come soon? Lego is obviously trying to compete with AltBricks here.
I'll also point out the copious amount of shields on the AotD boat.

Mordor gates and corsair ship are pure win. Those Lone Ranger sets look pretty good, too. I'm interested in this new revolver piece, but I've yet to see a close-up picture of it.

Re: 2013 SETS THREAD
Is there any way to know when these sets will hit the shelves?
I like the Elves but I'm not too fond of those damn cheeklines they always have. I guess they're ok to create a distinction, but they should be more subtle.
Also, this made my day:
Army builder! Even the parts seem pretty useful. Oh and notice the dog. Could turn out to be pricier than you'd first expect though, who knows.
Did anyone say Falx slave transport?
Looks nice enough. There's a nice mix of bricks going on.
Another good-looking set. I don't particularly care about the dragon, but that doesn't mean it's useless.
The latest castles have been a step up from the KK I and II castles that were built on raised baseplates, imo. Still this is the set I'll least likely get, since I have a ton of panels and grey bricks, and can't immediately think of a use for those blue bricks. Well, maybe they could be used to create shields, hmm...

Note sure if I've posted these before, you've seen them on the dioramas, but... :ProbablyMike wrote:Chicken Suit Guy
“What you folks need is a guy in a chicken costume!”
The Chicken Suit Guy started out as a fast-food mascot, but he knew that he could be much more. If he could help people decide what to have for lunch, then surely there must be other ways that he could help too. So he set out on the road and started to travel the world in search of adventure.
Now wherever people are in trouble, the Chicken Suit Guy will be there, flapping his wings and making clucking sounds until the crisis is over. It’s hard to say how he always ends up going exactly where he’s needed most, but everyone is glad to know that there’s a Minifigure in a giant chicken costume looking out for them!

I'm liking this castle line, except for the POOP dragon.

Yeah, don't really need another dragon like that. I am glad to see the return of a more classic looking line of Castle sets.Pwnerade wrote:I'm liking this castle line, except for the POOP dragon.

Look at that catapult. It's got a fucking face on it. Totally Brikwarsy.Bragallot wrote:

Also, is this the return of the Wolf Knights, or are these Dragon Knights again? I can't really tell by the symbol.

They look like lions to me. I think the black surrounding the face are manes...Zupponn wrote:Look at that catapult. It's got a fucking face on it. Totally Brikwarsy.
