Hold your horses, we don't even know if the figs are any good yet.Zahru II wrote:Brickset and FBTB has some set descriptions, sadly no pics. The only thing I found noteworthy is that the smallest castle set will have FOUR minifigs, 2 good guys and 2 bad guys. Instant armybuilder box or what, need to get 3 of them at least.
But, assuming they are...

Re: The Silmarillion etc.
I trolled you. Of course i have read everything there is even before most of you suckers were born.
What i meant to say on this is that most likely there will not be an animated series of young Turin owning marauding Orks near the borders of Doriath and sets of these and of his furter adventures. Though i'd totally buy a Lego Gurthang.

Grond (the siege machine, not Morgoth's hammer) could also be awesome.

FBTB also has reports of the new super heroes, star wars, minifigs, city, LOTR, and a few other themes sets for later in the year. The new LOTR Pirate ship coming out will be a must-have.

What do you want to bet that when the Balrog comes out, it's all Bionicle / Hero Factory style.Bragallot wrote:I'm still waiting for that Balrog.
Alternately, what do you want to bet that a Balrog will never come out because a Lego demon would be one step too far for Bible Belt Walmart moms.

It would actually be awesome for the kids if the Balrog was compatible with the bayounicles.

Fuck kids. AFOLs want a real Balrog.Apollyon wrote:It would actually be awesome for the kids if the Balrog was compatible with the bayounicles.
I got excited the first time I saw that picture, but then immediately realised they'd never make it look like that, and then I was disappoint.

Re: 2013 SETS THREAD
TLG should do a Build-A-Balrog in a future wave of LOTR sets, to jump some hoops and make profit at the same time
