Stats for purchased sets

Evening all. I got myself a little set this Manly Santa Day, the Samurai Mech from the Ninjago theme. It's quite ok for a purchased set and I've thrown together some stats for it as is even though there's lots of room for improvment. Mostly this is a small exercise in checking if the rest of you are statting things differently from me. So, presenting:

Image

Size: 4" (the height of the torso + head)
Structure level: 3(d10)
Base cost: 12 CP

Movement (walking) 10"/round = 5 CP
Lasergun Size 2 = 6 CP
Launcher Size 2 = 6 CP
1 Explosive xs2 = 2 CP
Sword Size 6 = 12 CP (though the userating of 7 would be prohibitive, so maybe fudging it to WS4 and 8 CP)

==================
Total cost: 43 CP excluding the pilot (or 41 with the ws4 sword)

The size of 4 allows for 8" of weapons fired each turn, and since there's only one pilot it's going to be either melee or ranged each turn, so it'd be better with more and/or bigger guns, and maybe buying the lefthand claw as a weapon too. And more explosives for the launcher. So, my question: would you have statted it differently as it was from the box? Have I forgotten anything? What would your plans for upgrades be?
Also: if you have nothing to do, stat up a boxed set and post it here. It's fun to read how different vehicles are statted.

Would you recommend getting the Samurai mech?

Saw it on display in the Lego brand store two days ago and it certainly looks awesome and intimidating. It's rather huge, too!
I was tempted to buy it but i need my Lego monees for something else. This year's Ninjago sets would be perfect for starting an
Akkadian army due to their color scheme.

Yes I would. It looks good in the brick, is posable, has a very nice assortment of parts and if you are into red, even in good colors. The mech can be added to a brikwars battlefield more or less out of the box if you don't have a mech of your own. On the downside the head looks a little funny but has a likeness to a samurai helmet. I'd recommend this set.

I'm planning to get this, the Golden Ninja mech and a bunch of the small Kai mechs and making an army just out of those a la Gunbusters.

You should definitely stat that claw as a weapon. When in doubt, always count something as a weapon. What's that golden bit on the chest? Is it removable? Can it be thrown like a giant fucking lethal discus?

Make the lasergun size 3, add in some wrist rockets or something for some bonus ranged attacks, and (in the usual brikwars tradition) add a big, fuck-off gun to the crotch. Keeping the sword at size 4 is probably going to be more effective (but 6 would make it a totally sweet carving knife for vehicles).

Okay, let's try this.

Image

Eris' Eagle Interceptor
Size: 8"
Structure: 2 I guess. 3 seems a bit high.
Base Cost: 16 CP

Movement: 16" Flying - 32 CP

Weapons:
Pair of Size 1 CHI guns (I'd count this as a machine gun, but wouldn't give it the ability to arc, due to their fixed position) - 4 CP
6 MkI rockets - 12 CP

Total - 64 CP
Sound about right to everyone else?

And yes, I would recommend this set. It's pretty freaking great.

How about the Destiny's Bounty from Ninjago?

Going to hopefully set up a Forum battle around this set.

@aoffan23: You forgot the giant claws.

And you forgot that the feet are where the thrusters are located. So the way I see it, using the claws is pointless, when you can just incinerate stuff with your jet engines.

Yeah, but tearing shit up with claws THEN incinerating it is way better.

There should be another thread for this.

It's one of them new pieces from the spinners sets, it's in one piece and very removable. It does have a very shuriken-like look, I bet it could slice up a platoon of little cuddly minifigs.

This looks like a really neat set! Swooshable? I will consider it if I see it. And I guess it just shows that we all consider these sets being undergunned from scratch. Everything needs more dakka.
