Most Ridiculous set you've ever owned.

Post by Kastrenzo » Sun Nov 10, 2013 3:29 am

What's the Strangest, dumbest, or otherwise most ridiculous Official Lego set you've ever owned.

Mine's going to be a letdown. but I found the signature peice out of it when digging through a small box. for a second I didn't think it was real. Fucking lost it when I saw the face.

IT DOESN'T EVEN LOOK LIKE A CHICKEN, IT LOOKS LIKE A POTATO WITH A BEAK AND DOWN SYNDROME.

Meet Hent... I mean Sentai Fortress. The set isn't ridiculous, it's the fact it was 70 quid, for a 1408 piece box of pure joy, compared to say This which for the same money, is 647 pieces of lower tier awesome.

I did concepts for that set! I am deeply ashamed to admit it! My concepts were even worse than what you see on the box, if you can believe it. I am more ashamed of those concepts than of anything I've ever done in my professional career, and I've worked on some pretty crappy stuff.

Now that Chima is out, you can see what that set was supposed to be. They wanted something like the Chima Speedorz but we didn't have any budget left. They should have just killed the idea once we knew we couldn't make it good.

Don't be so harsh on yourself Stubby. If i was 6 years old smashing those knights into each other would be a lot of fun even without them having fly wheels.

I own a set similar to the one in OP. It's a red head on a tiny little car that has little bumpers, and if it hits anything the head falls off.

This is the only Lego set I've ever seen marked down 99%, from $40 to $0.40. They just left them in a big barrel outside the Toys R Us, like they didn't even care if they got stolen. Even at that price I didn't want any.

The best deal I ever I did grab was a bunch of Dark Side Developer Kits for $1.99, when CompUSA accidentally mismarked them.
