Lego doesn't get a full aisle at mine. And everything that is there is discounted. It's made me worry about just how well Lego's been selling in general.Tzan wrote:I had to go to Walmart to get a new alarm clock.
So I checked out the Lego section, it has shrunk by half.

I know it isn't the massive cars the 'mericans on here all drive. But he's mine. Yet to pass the test but I am hopeful.
And on a totally unrelated note, I am right next to Wales. Not saying I am going to show Scythia its ass, but you know.

Re: The official LOOT topic
I have a friend who started lessons in 2014. He's only just passed the theory portion. I on the other hand never actually read the highway code, crammed on past questions the night before, and breezed through on the first attempt.Duerer wrote:Nice, makes me feel less miserable about not having started mine.dilanski wrote:Yet to pass the test but I am hopeful.
Moral of the story; The driving theory test sucks.

Wait, are you saying you have a car, but not a driver's licence? What's the point? Then again, I'm in college and still have neither, so who am I to judge.

I mean if the price was right and the test is just around the corner, there's nothing wrong with future proofing.

True I guess, although I feel like England is a lot less car-centric than America (I've never been to Germany, so I have no idea what things are like there).Duerer wrote:I mean if the price was right and the test is just around the corner, there's nothing wrong with future proofing.

My eyes can't see long distances, constantly move from side to side and are misshapen, I will never drive, the most annoying thing is a lot of the time in Belgium my bus drivers seem to not care about the timetable and just skip an hour so I have to wait ages in the blistering cold or the blistering heat.

Re: The official LOOT topic
Buses suck sometimes. I'm stuck taking them as well. Nerve damage in my right foot means I have... issues with driving... I don't mind waiting for the bus, but the local ones have been breaking down a lot lately.
Meanwhile, on a happier note, my BrickWarriors order came! Huzzah loot!
Handful of bits I needed and a pair of the discounted "random fantasy/castle" packs. And I got... 7 helmets/headpieces out of 20 random bits from those two packs... weird, but not a bad thing. Got a couple of trenchcoats and matching fedoras for a character build I want to do, some dragonkin heads in random colors, and other useful things! Also ordered the BrickJournal Compendium, volumes 1 and 2, which should be a Lego-ish read at the very least.

Re: The official LOOT topic
Hmm. Target dropped the price of the Ninjago Manta Ray Bomber set.
For a $30 set (that I got for $24 on sale), this is pretty big! I know a lot of the size comes from the big honking plates they used on the wings, but it actually feels more like the sets we got ten or possibly even twenty years ago, just in terms of contents for the price! Maybe I'm old...
That said, the wings on these are surprisingly complex to build! The whole thing has a nice heft and a nice feel to it, and while it does look a little campy, it kind of rings certain bells in my nostalgia. Anyone other than me remember the SpellJammer setting from 2nd edition AD&D?
Lots of extra bits, 4 minifigs, and kind of a nice design! This actually would have been (to me, anyway) worth the money at full price. Getting it on sale? Bonus! Also, I love the design for the bomms. Might be fun to re-color this, toss some different crew in, and dive-bomb Batman.

Re: The official LOOT topic
I got a Heavy Assault Walker bag at Walmart.
I think the normal price is $7 to $10
There was a whole rack of these for $1
Its 54 pieces.
https://www.amazon.com/Lego-Star-Wars-A ... B01MR826CC
I just got 1.
The way the front legs are set up looks wrong.
Slope toes and calf muscle are on the wrong sides, so I swapped the legs to the opposite side.
From the latest collectible fig set I got a spider man, looks cool.
