A question about lego gore
In many batreps/forum battles I'd seen there were trans-red or fire elements attached to a minifig to simulate an exploding gunshot wound. I wonder what do you guys use to attach those pieces to minifigs? Is it something as simple as plasticine, or something diffirent?

W often just pull the minifig apart at the waist a bit, and wedge it in. Otherwise, I've seen stuff like Blue-Tac being used. With good angles you can hide the stuff, and its more important to keep the minifig clean and reusable than to make a picture perfect. Also, I do know that some people have leg parts with one of te legs broken off to simulate dismemberment, so I suppose you could have a permanently affixed 'headshot' part too.
I couldn't come up with anything smart, original or funny, so <=THIS=> is what you get.

Woah, what a dedication. So I suppose there's no way to attach the wound effects to a minifig without leaving some leftovers on it.Gorthaff wrote:W often just pull the minifig apart at the waist a bit, and wedge it in. Thanks for the info, I'll go look for this Blue-Tac thingy.

Its just the brand name, I have no idea what the actual thing is called. Its an adhesive thats basically like chewed up chewing gum.

Re: A question about lego gore
I was doing a lot of experimenting with solid red legos to use in action shots of minifigs being killed.
You really just have to try things out and see what looks good.

The buildable gore looks amazing, thanks! Gotta surf briklink for so many red pieces though.Zupponn wrote:I was doing a lot of experimenting with solid red legos to use in action shots of minifigs being killed.

I'm usually using a lot of red transparent 1x1 studs and red snakes to depict gore and guts.

They made blood red bushes a while back that are good for explosions and gore.

Re: A question about lego gore
I just put RT studs on dead bodies, or sprinkle them on the ground if someone got blown up or dismembered
ends up looking weird sometimes because cylinders and cones get mixed in with the studs.
internal organs I guess?

When I read this title I thought this would be a fetish thread.
I am sadly disappointed.
