Infantry Suport Hard-suit

Post by Matt » Sun Mar 09, 2008 1:36 pm

This is just a small hard-suit I built with mass production in mind. It didn't turn out to be very mass producable, but I'm happy with it.

What no conrols you say? Actually all the controls are enclosed in that guys helmet,
you see, his helmet reads his brainwaves and transfers them into commands,
it sometimes ends up in some embarassing positions but overal its worth it.

I particularly like how that right arm gauss cannon came out.

You, sir, are a genius.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

Holy hell...that right thar is awesome on a shtick!

Weapons:
Switch the damage and UR around and it'll be perfect.
Maybe even give the Plasma Blaster a small blast? Or is that too much?

Otherwise I love it. I want one of my own!

i love the design, but i winced at the feet. they just kindof... end in blocks. here's what i reccomend: get a 1x1 pin and stick it in that open hole in the front. next, grab a 2x1 brick, and slide the pin into the bottom of it. on top of that, put a 1x2 slope piece. all done!

for that gauss cannon, i'd bump the UR a bit higher. with 3d6 damage, you're wasting damage targeting minifigs, but it'd be MURDER on light vehicles. i'd bump it to at least... nine. yes, nine is a good UR. also, 18" range.

and the plasma blaster just looks like a minifig long-range weapon with an extra +1. what could be REALLY fun is replacing it with a DeathGun (1d20 damage explosive, UR 6, 12" range). ah, good old death gun, how i missed thee.

Gaussgun becomes:
Use 4 (5?)
Damage 2d6 (or 1d6+3)
Range 16 (or 18")

Plasma Blaster becomes:
Use 5 (7?)
Damage 3d6 (2" blast?)
Range 12

Well I picture a railgun as a high powered projectile launcher, that launches say
.....a bullet, lets also say the bullet is....packed with explosives. Now, woudn't you agree
that said highly explosive projectile launcher should be more powerful that your average plasma cannon?
either way I like it the way it is, so I'm not changing it. :D

gauss rifles use solid metal slugs that fly at high velocity into targets, with little to no explosives used. Plasma is a form of matter that is superheated gas that is so incredibly hot that it is entirely unstable and is bordering on being energy as opposed to matter.

Shoot, I was hoping nobody would go and get technical. Now I have to carry on the conversation in a logical manner  .
