That is a LOT of redshirting.

They informed all of us back in October or September or something, so it's not all that bad - lots of time to prepare, and I've got months of severance to just sit around and do nothing if I want. Or do a BrikWars kickstarter maybe. Whatever crazy idea springs to mind.

I would TOTALLY back a Brickwars kickstarter.

Oh yeah, I'll be fine. I've been fired by Lego more times than I can remember, and the severance packages are always good. The layoffs were decided by consultants (Mitt Romney and his firm, ironically) who I guess didn't take workload and production capacity into account? So our department is just going to have to end up booking all of us to do the exact same work, except now as freelancers for several times the price and working from home in our bathrobes, while also paying our full regular salary in severance on top of it.
