Built a mecha frame. No ball joints.

So far very stable. The design is very simple using this part ("Technic, Pin Long with Friction Ridges Lengthwise") to connect the technic bricks
in the hip, knee and foot joints:
The frame can swivel up and down at the hip joints and it is just a question of finding the right point of balance for a given pose:
I think it can take some considerable weight as well. Here i added a Ninjago spinner (a whopping 32g!) to the torso frame and
some bricks to the arms:

The joints are starting to fail by now. I will try the trick of putting little pieces of paper into them to create more friction.
Anyway, i am quite hungover today and managed only a small build:
A skullfucking Scythian laser shotgun and a large novasword. The gun was originally designed by The Shadowscythe and it is awesome. I like it a lot.

Bought some HF 'kaiju' the other day. Pretty neat and easily repurposable:

Huh, I may have to get those for Eldritch Abominations because they have the same colour scheme as the Egypt beetles.

Re: Lego doodles POST THEM
I got a couple of sets for Manly Santa Day, including the lone ranger stagecoach and a red pickup truck. After immediately tossing the instructions and cannibalizing the sets for parts to upgrade already existing models, I began looking for ways to use the new pieces. This is one result I got using only pieces from these sets:
After messing around for a bit, I came up with the inspiration to build a steampunk fighter. Here it is with the wings folded down.
It can carry a pilot and a passenger, and also has clips to hold gear. The plane is powered by two rocket engines. The tail fin can move up, down, left and right.
Here is the plane with the wings unfolded. It has a a swiveling Gatling gun in the nose, as well as two heavier, but relatively fixed guns on the wings.
