If I were to use a human as armour, it would greatly depend on the human in question. For example, is this human alive? If so, are his interests in my interests, or is he against my way of thinking? Does he wear armour himself? Does he come in a bulletproof variety?

It is difficult to chose which type of guys I would like to wear as armour, but I guess it doesn't matter, since this is all hypothetical anyway.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

Samurais have the latest in anti-ninja technology, not that that's saying much. Knights don't stand a chance though.

I like the European-style armor, because you can turn it backwards and it looks like a Kevlar vest. If you turn the Samuri armor around... you still have Samuri armor.

Ninjas also have the latest in Anti-Samurai tech, so that point is moot.

also knights had horsies, lances, awesome helmets, awesome swords, etc...

Samurais don't stand a chance.

well from a historical standpoint...
knights- realy good protection but unless ur on horseback you move realy slow

samuri- medium protection capable of moveing w/o mutch hinderance

so realy it depends if I am against a knight or a samuri
Oh- yah the aisans had gunpowder thus would own the slow moveing knights in an ambush

this is about Knights vs. samurai, not asians verses europeans.

The Samurai armor looks cool, but in bulk amounts the Knight armor is more practical. It's hard to say, really.

european knight armour protects well, but it took months to make and had to fit quite well for you to be able to move in it.
the more simple chainmaille the europeans also used also took some time to make, but they had the advantage of nearly always forming a tight fit, and not restricting your movements as much.

I do not know anything about samurai armour, but I guess it is more mobile than their european knight counterpart.
Act first, then think, then try to find a way to cover up the horrible mess you made.

I think the only way to settle this dispute is a full-scale battle.

ahahaha. historical inaccuracies are inaccurate.

+a knight's armor rarely consisted of full plate metal, as storybooks would like you to believe. while it was common, your average knight still wore chain mail or something similar that could move and breathe easily, and perhaps a breastplate on top.

+Samurais actually wore fairly little armor. most of the "samurai armor" suits you see on display were only ceremonial.

+The arquebus (asian gun) WAS widely used by samurai, however it was so inaccurate and inconsistent that an english longbow was several times deadlier and more cost-efficient.

I've always thought the knights armor made minifigs look kind of fat. The samurai armor makes them look awesome. And it still looks good in sci-fi settings, where the knight armor doesn't hold up as well. Therefore I vote for the samurai.

Which is funny, because as I look back over all the BrikWars paintings, I've painted the knight armor dozens of times and the samurai armor not even once. Force of habit, I guess.

I was under the impression that arquebi were mainly used by conscripted peasant soldiers. Japanese longbows were also deadlier and more cost-efficient from an equipment standpoint, but the training required to use one well required a much greater commitment of resources.

And although we don't normally think too much about morale advantages on this forum, gunfire is much louder and scarier than archery, and the psychological effects of that could hardly be overstated in a medieval environment.
