The Toxic Crawler

Post by Almighty Benny » Thu May 15, 2008 11:38 am

So naturally, the first day back from school I go and build a Lego model. Picture a toxic wasteland set 20 or 30 years in the future. Vast oceans of acidic green slime oozing into the vast oceans of slightly less acidic ocean water. Few have survived the radiation un-mutated, and legions of horrible monsters walk the face of the earth (or what is left of it). This is why the Toxic Crawler was constructed. It is able to travel through up to 2 and a half feet of deadly muck. It has an intake in the front that allows it to absorb whatever poisonous chemicals it wades through and store it in collection tanks on the back. These tanks power the large cannons on the top, granting the Toxic Crawler a virtually unlimited ammo supply. When it is seriously threatened, however, it has the ability to produce 4 hidden .70 caliber machine guns for maximum pwnage.

Here we see the Toxic Crawler using it's acid cannons as it desperately battles a flying mutant arrow.

On the left we have the pilot, Putrid Pete, with his trusty magnum. Though it's hard to believe, Pete wasn't always Putrid. In fact, he used to be a high school English teacher before he was forced to look for a new job in the aftermath of the apocalypse. He landed a job as a bulldozer operator cleaning up the ruins of New York city until his employer caught him posting on a post-apocalyptic internet forum while on the job. Rather than letting himself be fired, he and his mutant friend Livingston (right) decided to steal one of the bulldozers. Though the construction company gave chase, Livingston was able to fashion a hydraulic pump that could spew toxic waste out of the remains of a gas station which quickly subdued the pursuers. Now they wander the countryside as mercenaries for hire.

I think I've started a trend.
I think those stats only apply to non-Mexicans.

This is pretty awesome right here. You've got a great post-apoc army. Which the world needs more of. Really. We need more themed battles in this place. Stormtroopers and Iceplanet guys vs Exoforce and Vikings has been way overdone.

I also love how made-up .70 cal machine guns have become the defining weapon of your army. Classic.

hmmm I sense confusion here.
Dr. X made the bad-@ss cars based on a description of an army I made. This is my only post-apoc model I've posted to these forums, although my army has been of that style for years. In fact since this seems to be the new trend, I'll start posting more. The .70 caliber machine gun should be fully credited to Dr. X.

It's a Beautiful Brikwarsy Behicle! I like all the Trans-green and the two main guns are great too.

I don't have the heart to take apart the space armies i've grown attached to. I envy the ability to make new creations on a whim.

Do you not have enough parts left to make another creation without ripping apart your old ones horseman? You need more Legos then.

And thanks for clarifying Benny, I sensed confusion also.

.70 cal machine guns are just so much better than those wimpy .50 cals of 5 minutes ago.
I think those stats only apply to non-Mexicans.

Look around garage sales saturday morning, you can sometimes find large bins of random legos for like 5$. Once a guy sold me his ENTIRE collection.

He'll regret that. Maybe.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.
