Hmm. I personally have never had problems with anything breaking in terms of droids, megabloks are the main problem for me. I've had a couple arms and hands break on me before, but not because of faulty engineering, I was just being stupid ( :protip: Playmobil weapons don't fit into Lego hands). Anyway, I got the droid mtt, and haven't had anything fall apart on me. Well, not that I know of, as all of the droids are currently residing on the bottom of a very large bin of lego, broken apart for...storage. The SBDs I do use, and none have fallen apart as of now.

I have many loose droid parts, mostly the legs, though. However, I got all of them as a kid, so I obviously mishandled them a bit.

Almost all of my battle droids are from the late 90s so yeah, a lot of them are broken. Maybe about a quarter of them or so? Although I just rule that battle droids have pistols built into their hands, so it works around it pretty well

So it's New Years Eve, I've got nothing to do, and I'm wondering...
Image
...Will Natalya be mad that I stole her pivot joint to build this?

Nope. All great artists steal.

You don't even know what that is, do you?

Would it be the boarding ship from the Clone Wars movie?

No it is not, but that was one of the vehicles I drew inspiration from.
It's actually my Droid Quad Fighter original concept, albeit an unfinished one since ball turrets don't work in LDD.

So yeah, remember that Armored Droid Carrier I started the thread with?
I decided to try and recreate it in the Vanilla LDD mode to see what kind of color scheme I could get away with...
...And since I was kind of iffy on my rack design actually working in real life, I decided to rebuild it as an IFV/Light Tank...

...Also, from looking at my new STAP, I thought, "Wouldn't this things top make a great machine-gun turret... Too bad you'd need to plunk nearly the whole build in just to make it work..."

Then it hit me:
ImageImage
"Why shouldn't I put the whole STAP on there?"

Besides the obvious Scout manning the Turret STAP, the crew also consist of:
ImageImage

A Pilot in the forward compartment and a Gunner near the rear, both now having fancy red Holo-displays to see just what the hell they are doing...
But in case of emergencies...

Image

A secret second Scout is stored between the two, in the event one of the crew is somehow incapacitated.
This picture also give you a good look at the Gunner's controls.
ImageImageImage

As you can see, the Turret is able to freely rotate 360 degrees, though this leaves it rather flimsily connected.
Of course...
ImageImage
It's not just a weapon emplacement, but a second, fully functional, Lazor machine-gun equipped vehicle in it's own right!

Then there are the optional Blast Diffuser attachments...
Image
These add-ons take the powerful anti-vehicle bolt fired by the main cannons and turn it into a devastating, field clearing wave of destruction.
Image
Yes, this... what ever it is will certainly provide plenty of tactical flexiblity (if it ever gets bought and built).

Finally, with all the recent hub-bub with the Third Alliance (Which I sort of put Briktoid Automata in since I've got faction ideas for both sides of the Anti-Immortal war) and the oussum Microspace ships that have been constructed, I was inspired to take my Droid Quadfighter...
Image
...Something I'll probably never end up making in reality, and... adapt it.

ImageImageImage
Now if I'd only work on the "Conifer" class Heavy Dreadnought...

If those were sets I would buy multiples of them all. :all:

Hmmm... Perhaps I should join the Wiki and post the files on the test page...

I have to warn you though, the Tank only takes Droids.

That's okay, I've got plenty.

That would be very nice.

So I've joined the Wiki, but everything on the test page is Microspace, so I don't know if uploading my tank is acceptable or not.

Anyway, after looking at the model I based it on, I realised that my Micro Droid Quadfighter's arms actually had one more joint then the full scale version.
I built a slightly more "accurate" version, but I'm not sure which I like more...

ImageImage

Also don't know if these fit in this thread or not, since they're Briktoid Automata ships instead of Star Wars Vehicles, but I don't like posting LDD things in my Armory thread so...
ImageImage
Here we have two examples of Briktoid Automata's "Transport, Utilitarian: Re-entry Drop-ship" or "TU:RDs".
They are little more then an armored cargo container with a thruster at one end.
Still, the comparatively slow, extremely poor maneuvering unarmed TU:RDs are excellent in their role of transporting resources from system to system as well as, more importantly, ferrying them between the orbit and surface of whatever mud-ball of a planet the Droids are willing to set foot on.

Ironically, the skinner one is probably my only recent LDD Creation that I could potentially build in Real Life, but I'd have to cannibalize two of my Droid Carriers and all of my STAPs for the parts.
