Flag Designing (repost)

Im doing this because I thought the original was helpful and a good thing to have, so here it is.

I have been wanting to post a couple flags, but a I don't feel a picture would do great, so, what do you people recommend using to make flags and the like?

Also, were'd the original thread go?

Also we don't need a flag design thread in the new peoples forum.
It could go in General or Artwork
