When I saw the first Battlegrounds image that James+Burgundy posted, it reminded me of some of the elements from the Mega Bloks Dragons line.

I love it how every picture (I think they all do) has that damn little orc pointing behind himself. It may be cheap, but it's hilarious.

I DID own the first Crossbows and Catapults game. ( :P to Rayhawk )

I played the crap out of it. First against my dad, sometimes on my own. Then I taught my MUCH younger siblings. We've been through bags of rubber bands, and last I saw it, most of the crossbows and catapults were pretty much broken beyond all hope (sigh)

But this week, I built a LEGO catapult that has good range and power, but doesn't self-destruct on every shot. I remember alternate rules for these type of 'live' weapons in BrikWars allowing the player to choose either 'live-fire' or roll the dice options.

Oh, and Mike... I may have owned the awesomest boxed battle game ever, but you still managed to outdo it with your HTML text game that encouraged me to spend thousands of dollars on LEGO product. (You hear that LEGO, I buy your product for HIS game!)
