Depends how I prioritize things.
If I started on the character now, maybe a few weeks. Its always hard to tell until you start doing it.
With no animation just moving between spaces I could do that in a few days.

Right now I'm making a WorldBuilder.
So next thing here is:
Save/Load
Some landscape models, trees rocks.

General Editor things to do:
WorldBuilder
Army builder
Structure builder, houses, bunkers
Weapon Builder
Brick builder, general brick building
Vehicle builder

Really only need the worldbuilder functional to do something simple.

Then I'll need the code that actually starts a game and runs that with rules. Then only about 100 other things.

The Short term goal I think is like a white board.
World Builder with some trees and stuff
1 type of guy that can move around
A die roller
No game rules, then you could run a forum game with it using your own rules, moving the in game camera around and taking screen shots.

I made studs be able to have a different color from the space.
Sacrificial lava pit

Lava
Bubbling Lava
Lava with Crusty bits

I also spent about 1 hour chasing a stupid bug that I introduced stupidly while making studs work. All better now.
