Libera Me From Hell - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Soundtrack
Right, so, Im no big rap or hip-hop fan, but after finally watching the full TTGL anime series, I couldn't resist and went listening to it in Youtube. Damn anime has some spirit, best I've ever seen...
And yes, this deserves its own thread!

Also, I find this comment incredible:
Finished this song? You'll notice a few side effects:
1) You now have a bitchin' pair of shades. Likely orange.
2) When you cry, you cry tears of pure distilled Badassery.
3) No wimp is immune to your brightslap. This includes Shinji Ikari.
4) You are now full capable of punching out the following, but are not limited to: Cthulhu, Godzilla, God, The Devil, My Little Ponies, Batman, and The Anti-Spirals.
5) You are now be able to throw galaxies as shurikens.
Please, enjoy your new found powers.

Sounds like Kanye West, but rhymes slightly better.Ham701 wrote:Post your untalented people music in the "Threads that are dumb" forum kthxbai.
My position on rap music: it's what got me into heavy metal. Eminem is still the best rapper. If a song is not about hoes and drank, and is actually Rhythm And Poetry (RAP) it is successful. Songs using elements of rap can be interesting, for example techno/trance or raprock.
Rap sadly led to a horrible cultural phenomenon known as bad music, where people no longer listen to music anymore. This is also related to the emergence of chavs, scobes, skangers, spides, millies, knackers, trailer trash, or equivalent. Basically the uneducated underclass.
This is a list of hip-hop/rap artists that actually offer something to music:
*Eminem - not because he's white, because he constantly reinvents himself, is one of the greatest lyricists and can "diss" celebrities whilst tackling very controversial themes. A bit like South Park.
*B.o.B. - he can actually sing, with no auto-tune assisted help. Also, leans slightly towards this new thing of "emo-rap" which basically means tackling heavy, depressing themes. The name comes from narrow-minded people classifying music they are unfamiliar with.
*Cypress Hill - before aggro/nu metal, they were one of the first to draw parallels between metal and hardcore rap. Use of rock'n'roll imagery on their artwork, using Black Sabbath samples, eventually introducing downtuned electric guitars to the mix.
That's basically acceptable, non-biased rap. If you want to be appalled by British Urban Music, check out grime, from artists such as Dizzee Rascal, Tinchy Strider, Skepta, Wiley, Kano...
I'm sick of hip-hop and rap, and popular music in general. It's the same monotony, structure, repetition, no thoughts for music; I mean, pick any pop song out now and count the number of progressions/developments/changes. Something is going to have to emerge and shake up music again, it's all gone stale.

Guys guys! Most of you probably know Im one of the biggest Metalheads around, I just posted this song because I found it worthy of getting some recognition by the message it gives you, just like TTGLSilverdream wrote:I don't see what copying a youtube comment is worth. Or this song.
Please try harder next time.

It's black people music. It deserves no recognition here. Unless it's old black people music, like jazz or Hendrix or Chuck Berry.

By the way BFenix, I'd wholeheartedly recommend you to watch Mazinkaiser SKL. Just do some research on it, I think you'll love that show.
