Those scars are on my penis. It was the only thing long enough to reach up from where I was laying and club him to death.

And it better be able to get back up with only a bruise after being hit by a car going 50.

I got my staples out today, 20 of them.
So it was officially 5cm renal cell carcinoma, clear cell, the most common type. I get a CT scan in 4 months and every 12 months after that for a few years.

It is stage 1, didnt spread, so there is only 5% chance of it coming back. So basically I'm just fine :)
I guess if you have to get cancer this is the one to get as long as its caught early like mine.

Or eye cancer like me, because then you'd have only one eye.

Oof, try about 180 of them! I'll get pics up eventually, but I had to have a Wound-vac attached to my leg for the first couple weeks, and I had staples running up and down the entirety of my right leg, and about 30 on my left leg just from the hole where they grabbed some vein I didn't need and replaced my torn-up femoral artery with it.

Oh boy am I excited to show off these wound-vac pictures though. A wound-vac is basically this spongy black bandage that they tape onto whatever massive hole you have in your body, and the attached hoses suck out all your mojo/puss/other bodily fluids. They had to change the dressing on it every 3 days or so, during which they tore off this thing which hurt like hell. Even if it's only been 3 days and even if there's a layer of super-gauze between my exposed muscles and my bandage, since they're literally ripping this thing off of my muscles while I'm awake. On the plus side, I got to look at my muscles, tendons, and even the fat in my leg!

Were they keeping that hole open on purpose in case the artery patch blew out?

It was just too big to close, they sliced me open because I had compartment syndrome (where your bodily fluids rush to an area due to trauma and fill all the spaces between your muscles and crush your nerves muscles and veins), and they needed to drain me. The wound-vac served to help speed-up the natural bodily recovery process of closing the gap, but in the end I still needed to get a massive skin graft. Which makes me look like I'm a ghoul from fallout.

This is in the hospital, and that's the hole they had to cut in me to release fluids. I had to have the bandage on this thing changed every 3 days or so, which was *incredibly* painful. Oh, and I was awake!
