Ordering things from Reaper, actually. Or rather, considering ordering things from Reaper and then just sticking with preprinted plastic and paper miniatures. I'd really like to get into the whole painting thing but, y'know, broke teenager.

Next on my to-buy list is:

-Chimera
-Sentinel (possibly x2)
-Leman Russ (possibly x2)

However, I am flat broke.

This is what you get when you play 40K.

YOU WILL LEARN THIS VERY QUICKLY.

I'm talking 100 points quickly.

This is why bitz trading is always good, someone's bound to have a couple torsos/legs they're willing to trade for some extra grenades.

You may want to add the GW washes, especially on the khaki and flesh, it'll darken the colour's and do the shading for you. You are priming you're models with spray-paint? Makes painting easier and mistakes less noticeable. Also if you want to save some money you can find whole bags of sand (you want kiln-dried sand that's been stored dry) for the same price as a tub of the hobby stuff, it's got better texture and is dirt cheap (c what i did thar), 1/3 of a bag will cover a whole board and the rest will base a lifetimes worth of models.

@501st: Thank you! I just wish I can find an unpainted Leman Russ or Chimera.

*Ka-Double-Post*

After reading the Codex a bit, I noticed there is an "ongoing engagement" right next to the planet Harkon. So, I finalized my regiment's name: The 86th Harkonian legion, "The Steel Kriegers". Comments? Better ideas for a name?

Yeah, esp. with Kreig already being a thing and your soldiers not being Kreigian.

It would be awesome that when you got your tanks you'd make the Gunheads.

Most IRL regiments are named after their specialities. You seem to be buying some walkers and chimeras, so that could easily make your regiment:

"86th Harkonian Mechanized Infantry", although I'm sure you can still tack on some fun nicknames, if you want to follow military tradition than name it after the commanding officer. Cadians are pretty spartan dudes, they generally have poles up their asses when it comes to high-level military operations and so on.
