I forgot to comment on the previous girl image.
Best one so far!

That dog is adorable.

Not completely sold on the blue jumpsuit lady's legs, it seems like they separate too far up. You could try filling the top few pixels of the gap with a more translucent/less saturated blue to suggest a curve, but it looks like that might not fit the style you're going for.

You could also bring the crotch down a pixel or two.  That might do the trick.

So small, yet also very alive.

Given the similarities and differences of the sprite, I think something akin to "Emily" or "Elizabeth" would be an appropriate name.

I don't know if you know this, but you're very presumptuous.

Her name is actually Vanessa Anderson (or Van). I was digging around some old files just now and I found something with her name on it from June 2, 2012, so she's had the name for at least 3 years. See this post at the bottom of page 5 of this thread.

For funsies, check out this concept drawing I just found dated 2012-06-08.

In the walking sprite that is coming towards the viewer, the arms seem like they are only moving backwards and not also forwards like in the side view.  Both arms should be moving at all times rather than pausing.

Somewhat relevant example:

Yeah, I know. I tried to make them move forward too but it looked really shitty. I posted anyway to see if anyone would notice and you did, so I'll have to try finding a better solution.

Working on a chess rules pamphlet right now so I'm illustrating all the pieces (a bunch of ways). This is White for the diagrams.

Image

In the pamphlet they're 8pt and 12pt high, so not a lot of room for detail.

The bishop looks kind of strange with the different base IMO.
