i prefer realism ,but chaos is good. i once tried to do a brikwars with a friend who had a modified medical helicopter. I tried to make my hero slash through the cockpit with an otc and drop a grenade in. he claimed the cockpit was bulletproof. i tried to make him slash a rotor. he said they would chop me up. i said i wanted to slash at hhis pilot. he said there was an autopilot system in the back that controlled everything. i said i wanted to blow up his missiles. he said they were resistant to damage.
In short, brikwussiness. do you agree when i say this is too absurd to be realistic or fun?

You are unique, just like everybody else.

1-OTC wins over anything. The cockpit would have been destroyed.Dertyyy wrote:I prefer realism ,but chaos is good. I once tried to do a brikwars with a friend who had a modified medical helicopter. 2-The perfect timing and you could blast the rotor off without being chopped to pieces.
3-You should go for the autopilot then the pilot, then.
4-You should have robbed the missiles and have them thrown back at the helicopter.

Chaos: I cut into the chopper with an OTC and drop a grenade.
Other guy: Fine, my pilot grabs you and ass snuggles your hero before the chopper crashes and blows up, probably killing both.
Realism: I cut into the chopper with an OTC and drop a grenade.
I can do this because if you come up with yet another turd of a reason why it can't work I will fuck your shit up in the physical plane of existence where you live.
My reality is a flipped coin with two sides pretty much the same.

All of these arguments would be great if you were playing against someone who was capable of not sucking ass. But that's not the case here. This guy has already proven that no matter how much logic and/or awesomeness you throw at him, he will always find a way to make a game suck. The solution is to unfriend him on facebook, block his emails, and tell your family he died, because a person like that is not worth knowing. And then probably kill him.pesgores wrote:1-OTC wins over anything. The cockpit would have been destroyed.Dertyyy wrote:I prefer realism ,but chaos is good. Characterizing any of that as absurd, though, is missing the point of this conversation. The only thing that's absurd about anything in that story is that you would be friends with such a lameass in the first place.

meh, they sometimes come up with cool looking stuff, so they may live.Warhead wrote:Unimaginative people should, DIE? Good grief, ...I never thought anyone else felt that way. VINDICATION!!! Prepare the extermination vats! Begin the slaughter!.. do we really have to keep the art students though?
you may use some random torture to inspire them if you feel like it though
Act first, then think, then try to find a way to cover up the horrible mess you made.

I have so many objections to your response that I need to start a list! Starting with number six as usual:Warhead wrote:Unimaginative people should, DIE? - 6. That guy isn't unimaginative, he's coming up with all sorts of creative and original ideas to keep dertyyy from wanting to keep playing.
7. Which is not to say that unimaginative people shouldn't be killed, I'm just saying it's an unrelated although valid point.
8. Which is not to say that this unnamed guy in particular shouldn't be killed, even though he seems to have a limited form of imaginativeness.
9. If we're going to be killing off the unimaginative, the art students will be the first to go. Maybe one out of a thousand of those guys has ever had an original thought, and he usually gets beaten down pretty quick by the other 999.

This has little to do with realism because of the situation I think, the guy just isn't fit to play Brikwars if he can come up with so many reasons to stop a helicopter from crashing, not to mention the resulting explosion.Dertyyy wrote:I prefer realism ,but chaos is good. I prefer a mix and when I stray from 'realism' it's usually to support 'humour'.

i use realism in the brikwars meaning. ie an otc in brikwars realism can and will always win. or something like "what would a laser firing shark do?..."
i would not suddenly say oh and now he can...ummmm fly! ya he can fly! no he would have to find some sort of goblet of the sky. or amulet thing maybe? so ya brikwars has chaotic realism

...and that is why you are boring and brim full of fail. Oh, sure, rules have their place and I've played many, many systems with enough rules to choke a horse but for example Kieeimiester's Shark or Midget firing guns are full of win and lulz.
Perhaps this is what you could try thinking...
Yeah, he can fly. How can I achieve this? Explosive Spring loaded underpants! Did it work, not very likely but hey, it'll be a laugh. Set difficulty to high and make a roll.
Gizmo's lying about, nothing wrong with that. But all the time is predictable. Predictable Chaos, are you sure?
