There's been an extension for that since Silent line, it's always looked REALLY cool if you could pull it off right. It was surprisingly useful, too.
Is this the newest Armored Core game? I haven't played an Armored Core game in forever, and I wonder if I can get my roommate interested in playing...

It has been done in Armored Core for Answer the newest game. Before for answer theres Armored core 4, everyone seems to agree that FA is better than 4. game critics say that it's quite an addictive game when played in bursts, and this is helped by the arcade-style missions. but they also say that while the cores themselves have good graphics, some environments can be a bit bland. I own FA myself and have completed it several times over including all the alternate missions, as well as having all the parts (well 99.5% of them). I will say that if anyone is going to buy FA or 4, there is shit loads of number crunching, if your not into 300 part mech building, be prepared for a hard game. (I'm a natural, i beat most the game with a GOMAP)IVhorseman wrote:There's been an extension for that since Silent line, it's always looked REALLY cool if you could pull it off right. I've played from AC2 up until Nexus, and pretty much all of the games have been exactly like this anyways.

I MUST Disagree, AC4/FA is probably the most fast paced mech game out there, putting it one way, I will only pilot a core that'll do 1000km/h..........sideways.
A slow mission
A slow mission

okay, so there's more OverBoosting. I never cared much for putting any kind of armor whatsoever on my cores, so I'm pretty used to moving at speeds like that (not counting the boosting of course, but that seems more of a blessing than a curse).
Even then, you never said anything about the new ones being "the most face paced" when I said they were all pretty much the same game. All you really said was that there were good graphics and number-crunching, and I've been keeping my cores underweight and fully-charged since around 2002.
How did they handle overheating in this game? In all the old ones, it made you lose AP until you cooled down, but then they changed it so that your generator just diverted all booster and energy weapon power into cooling, which I thought was dumb.

They got rid of overheating, and 'replaced' it with kojima particles and PA.IVhorseman wrote:How did they handle overheating in this game?
