Skull Mountain: Turn 5
and also the final. Phew!
It may feel a bit rushed, but it ain't.
Malekim looked at the ruins of his forces. As a last-ditch effort, he tried to evoke a spell which would drive everyone mad, but his frustrated mind was not able to chant it correctly (basically he failed).
So he decided to head back to Skull Mountain.
The rest of his units continued to fight: one skeleton engaged in combat with a troll, and hit him, the troll lost a hit point.
Another skellie who was knocked away found himself on a hill. After noticing the nearby awesomeosaur, he knew this was an attack of opportunity!
He critted, and killed the beast.
Which fell over; two arrowboyz died.
Finally the remaining riders ganged and killed the last knight. One died in a counterattack.
The swordsmen reached the ork launcher, and disabled it by knocking over the ladder with brute on it. He died from fall damage and poor armor rolls.
The other squad sprinted up to the first.
The dwarves, crossbowmen and ballista moved towards the orks, ready to fire a counter-barrage if necessary.
The runeknights killed the last rider, and the arrowboyz. The cleric rode to Niol and gave him what powers he have left.
Niol rode closer towards the fleeing Malekim. It was now or never. He picked up a lance, imbued it with every single drop of his augmented powers, then threw it...
... and impaled the necromancer who was easily overkilled (I rolled a damage of 26 or 27).
The Majistik's death caused his powers to disperse; thus his throne had fallen, and all undead units collapsed. The Empire achieved his objective!
So technically game's done.
Kensai, seeing that they're overwhelmed by their foes, thought it'd be wise to retreat and strengthen their newly gained positions back in the empire.
He ordered his troll to cause a diversion, who after a successful strength feat, knocked over the launcher, squashing 4 swordsmen plus officer.
After that, they scrammed.
The battlefield after the fight. Pretty sweet carnage.
Conclusion:
Malekim's Horde (Warhead): Though Malekim did his best, he failed, and his forces were annihilated. Major Defeat.
United Imperial Army (Bragallot): Niol's forces managed to halt the undead tide, and there's a glimpse of hope that Direwood can be regained. Major Victory.
Kensai's Warband (Theblackdog): Kensai's troops fled, but they had a pretty good waaagh. Minor Defeat.
The Direwood Brigade (gamey353): Arthel's forces proved to be helpful in pushing back Malekim. Minor Victory.
Epilogue:
Niol and Arthel meet after the fight. Niol apologizes for coming too late, but promises that they'll eradicate the undead.
Hours later...
Skull Mountain gazes over the battlefield, surveying the sea of corpses. The undead without a ruler, roam pointlessly everywhere in Direwood.
Boom
... or will they? /dramatic sound/
So, that was turn 5, and the end of Skull Mountain. I hope you guys enjoyed it, I really did.

First off I just want to say BRAVO! I know how much effort goes into these hosting a forum battle and this one was truely Awesome! I'm Glad you seemed to enjoy it as much as we did, I know I had a great time even though I failed. [Damn those pesky dice, I was going to make everyone attack randomly this turn and it would have been great].
The Imperial Knights were a tough lot and my main worry truth be told. I wasn't that worried by even the Ork Triceratops as my dead dudes were doing fine until it got close enough to go bonkers lol. The Poison thing was ok but for such a light attack (1D6 explosive damage) and the fact that most units seemed to move away before the poison effects occurred I was slightly (only slightly) disappointed. However, speaking from the viewpoint of a fantasy newby who's just fought a battle as the undead general I gotta say I loved this army, it was very effective and I would use it as is unchanged again in a heartbeat if you ever wanted to do another battle.
It looks like a new Dark-Knight Warlord has risen, thanks very much! As a polite request can he haz a Nightmare steed with flames to ride on please?.. And also, can he be more of a fighta' and less of a lov... uh, I mean less of a Magi (Keep Raise the undead please).
