Capture the Flag
I had a battle yesterday with my friend Thad. He brought along his troops that he modeled after the classes from Team Fortress 2, with their associated powers. He also suggested that we try capture the flag rather than bloody massacre. And so it began . . .
Due to bright fluorescent lights, my shaky hand, and a cheap camera, some of these didn't turn out well. My flag is on top of the fire station. Most of my men are inside vehicles, but it was easier to put them off to the side.
Tank, APC, IFV, Speeder. Mountains in the background.
Terrain, neutral animals, and the infamous crane.
Thad has a lava moat in front of his base.
Thad's large tracked platform.
Thad's base, with his flag.
Swamp T-Rex.
Thad draws first blood, or rather oil, by blasting a hole in the wall and killing two of my robots. But they were peach-headed, so not a real loss.
The offending oversized weapon. Thad's snowmobile decides the best way to my flag is via an alley behind the buildings.
I sent in my Y-Wing to blast the gun off of Thad's platform. It fired three rockets, which all missed spectacularly, destroying the crane and a construction truck in the corner. I sent in my E-Wing next, which shot it right off with damage to spare.

Said extra damage was applied to Thad's mini-copter.
One of the wonders of BrikWars is the generalized rules. It makes things much simpler. But it also means that a Y-Wing can be shot down by a biplane, thus ending it's short and ineffective career.
The snowmobile tried to ambush my vehicles, but failed.
The gun atop Thad's base used its manual fire to attack me, but to no effect.
Here we see the wreckage of the crane. There will be no shenanigans with it this game. The armored truck moves into the intersection, while my tank shoots at Thad's platform, but misses.
My hero uses a heroic feat and his rocket bike to kick the pilot out of a biplane. He leaves a bloody streak on the ground, and the uncontrolled plane careens into the sunset.
The snowmobile gets destroyed, and more of my infantry take positions in a building after they unload from the APC.
The APC fired at the armored truck with the gatling gun, but missed. The tank's machineguns shot at the remaining biplane with equal lameness.
The motorcycle bashes in the implied wall.
My E-Wing swoops in for another attack.

Success! Thad's peach-speeder is obliterated.
All of my men have unloaded and most of them are inside, as Thad's motorcycles makes it's way down the alley.
The base gun shot at my E-Wing, but missed again.
The biplane decided to shoot the main gun off of my tank.
Success! Now it's a heavily-armored machiengun platform.
My IFV responds to Thad's moves with lots of dakka. Which means lots of dice.
No more armored truck!
My speeder made its way over the wreckage into the alley, and blew up the motorcycle. The driver makes a flying leap onto the roof to avoid death.
My hero shot the cop. After that I kept forgetting to use him, since he was behind my APC.
The Engineer hijacks a truck and rams my speeder before I have a chance to use its powerful missiles.
I wanted my IFV to attack the gun atop Thad's base, but I had to get on top of the now-abandoned platform to get in range. Those tires can take on anything!
And the gun is no more.
Not only did the biker survive his vehicle's destruction, he survived a hail of gunfire form my soldiers on the roof.
Well, for a turn. The Engineer gets killed, too.
Demoman bites it, too.
My IFV fired it's missile at a clump of infantry, but missed, of course. Also, my APC got it's weapon shot off.
I was able to ram and destroy a vehicle with my now unarmed, large vehicle. But Thad struck back, nearly destroying it, and setting it on fire.
The people who were supposed to get fragged with a missile.
My tank gets back at the biplane by shooting it out of the sky. Yay hinge pieces!
Thad sends out his racecar.
Thad send his Scout to try to nab my flag, but my robots ran upstairs and got him with their knives. Thad kept picking up his dead guys, so a bloody smear is all that remains.
My E-Wing destroys another vehicle.
The Soldier goes down.
My infantry shoot at some of Thad's forces down below, and the rest keep moving.
Thad reminds me that I have a hero by running him over.
Thad decides to put someone back at the controls of the tank and ram my APC, destroying it.
Another glorious dice-pile from my heavily-armed vehicles.
Spy dies next. Gordon Freeman is driving the tank, and is very hard to hit, apparently.
My E-Wing shot it's missile at the Pyro's jeep. I rolled a one for damage, so I decided it was a dud and left it in the vehicle.
At this point Thad had fully realized the power of ramming and destroyed my IFV.
Pepper goes on the attack.
A commando is killed, and the Medic revives the Soldier.
My tank moves in to provide infantry support.
An ominous sight. The Soldier can't see it and is unfazed. So he blew away three of my men with a rocket.
Pepper and the Medic get gunned down.
The tank got rammed next, and was destroyed. Oh no! Ramming seems to do a lot of damage.
But it doesn't stop there. Thad rams a hole in the wall of the building and sets it on fire. But then he rammed it again.
OH SHI-
The racecar sped right past my men, clearly on the way to steal my flag.
My men struggled to get out of the burning and collapsing building. Luckily, the fire went out, and it crushed the offending car, so there won't be any more damage, with a little luck.
The racecar gets the flag! Don't ask me how. The driver doesn't seen to have arms or legs.
It was too fast for my men or aircraft to hit.
My men decided to head it off my attacking the base, but their advance was halted by base operator firing the spearguns. The base operator and the racecar were the only men left on his team.
One more turn and it's over! My E-Wing shot off one of the spearguns, however.
The other speargun got one of my commandos.
Thad wins! The flag was taken to his base. Which had enemies approaching, and was defended by two men with one speargun.
An Overwatch of the carnage, except for what Thad had already picked up.

The biplane took forever to shoot down. It proved to be the most aggravating member of Thad's team, until he stole the flag with the racecar. The planes were around the whole game, I just didn't always take pictures of them. I let the aircraft have unlimited movement, due to their speed and maneuverability. They just got placed anywhere I wanted each turn. It worked out.

Awesome report, I like the mix of out-of-the-box stuff and MOCs, especially the E-wing, that's a really nice looking fighter.
This indeed looked like a really fun match, and the race car at the end must have been a bitch to get. The driver's face at the end is epic though.
