Serac's War Machines
Hey Brikwars community, heres some of my MOC's designed for warfare. But they're on brickshelf, so it'l take a while for them to load. Brickshelf Mods checking 'em for innapropriate content, stuff like that. Please be patient
Petra - War Mech (With the New Head design)
Its a mecha, currently armed with a rifle of some sort. It's been known at times to hold a beamsword (I'm not allowed to say Lightsaber, according to the Manual) or a smaller pistol. As you can see, it's designed to move like a Minifig does.
Its not entirely an automaton, but... oh god, whats it called..? Has anyone ever seen the lost in space movie with that guy from "Friends" in it? And how the little kid controls that robot from another room like he's playing a Wii game? Yeah. Thats how its controlled. and THATS why its designed to move like a 'fig.
Theres another version of Petra with a samurai-ish head.
I would post instructions, but theres one piece thats not in Lego Digital Designer (from what I can find). So I posted assembly pictures so you can put it together (hopefully) yourself if you so desire.
Nera - Starfighter
I spent more time thinking of a name for this than actually assembling it . Its a starfighter, half inspired from the rebel snowspeeder from Star Wars, half inspired by an MOC ship my sister's old physics teacher's friend made. Equipped with four "hidden" blasters and two Engines, both underneath the wings. It's focus is speed and agility. I didnt intend for it to have the atlantis colour scheme, it just sorta happened. If I had the bricks for it, this and the Petra would have a Dark Blue + White color scheme. But oh well.
Black Knight - Minifig Enhancing suit
(theres a much larger, better quality picture on my brickshelf account.)
Inspired by the matrix. The pilot has full-body armor, except for the head. So, he/she wears a helmet.
The Black Knight is equipped with a generic big gun, and a rocket launcher for desperate measures.. Oh, and a headrest.
Anyways, hope you like em. More to come soon... maybe.

The Petra is my favourite out of the three, but I do think the head needs to be redone. I've never really been a fan of the Chinese-style hat on mechs, or in general really.
The starfighter looks pretty cool too, it's got a really nice shape to it.
The suit is my least favourite out of them, it just looks awkward. The legs especially could use some work, seeing as they don't have any knees, and the feet are awkwardly shaped.

Workin on some new concepts for Petra's head. I got one right now, but its a bit too cubey. The chinese-style hat was just something I stuck on at the last minute.
Starfighter is probably my favorite, I don't think it needs any adjustments.
And now that you meantion it, I agree, the suit is very awkward. I'll probably keep the design for the place where the fig sits, but everything else has to go.
Thanks for the constructive criticism

I guess I'd like to dissent from the opinions so far about the hard suit.
Where I disagree is that, I think the awkwardness of the hardsuit is actually a good thing, because it emulates the same awkwardness of the suits from the matrix that you mentioned. To me this is a good thing.
Also, this hardsuit is cute. If you can't kill off your opponents, perhaps you can soften their hearts and make friends with them. :3

Thank you for your feedback everyone
I've replaced the massive picture of Petra with a new one with the other head design
And, heres a concept I've been working on for a Jetpack (I couldn't think of a cool name for it - its just a jetpack)

I actually got two of the Granite Throwbots... I don't remember why. I'd gladly trade one in for Ski, if given the opportunity.Cpt. Zipps wrote:Yo serac, just noticed your sig. I agree with you fully there man.
I must've been 6 or 7 when the throwbots came out. Didnt really have any money.

Just gotta find a good place for the Dynamite to go (I don't trust the dimmy to hold onto it)
