If it does end up being available for Xbox arcade, will it be on the Playstation store too?

I should think the Playstation uses a different kind of code than the Xbox, and would therefore require some INSANE overhauls. That may or may not be possible, but I'll look into it.

I've been pretty damn busy lately, what with like 4 D&D games looming over my head, school coming up, and a bunch of other responsibilities and hobbies, but I managed to scrounge up a bit of spriting over the past few days.

I got fed up with trying to pose the troll (I'll work on him more later) and started working on one of the varieties of Sin's Ents.

Enjoy. As always, comments and critique are encouraged and welcomed.

Pre-sleep update: fixed the eyes (they're just sockets now) and gave the limbs more definition. Also, hands.

That's a cool ent! I just love the originality in your sprites.

Fracturing my work even further, I started dicking around with my character study sheet again, this time playing with weapon icons for the menus and such.

Those are nice, and the spear on the character is good, too. But I have some advice. The spear isn't outlined, but the character is, so they look really awkward together, as if you ripped the spear from a game and just slapped it on.

I'm working on trying to do that without making the spear bulky or boneriffic looking. The problem with outlining something like that is it's difficult to keep the thin-ness of it.

Getting around to character design now. The sprites from Elemental Gelade have helped greatly here.

Image

I took a refined outline of one of the previous case study bodies and the outline of one of my own custom heads and began a test to figure out chibi anatomy.

Image

I filled him in, failing to realize that the whole 'pectoral cross' thing doesn't work well at small scale.

Image

I fixed this and slimmed his sides down, realizing that the old outline was based on clothing, which made him look fat xD.

And an overall test image for various things. Tweaking the styles I found and messing around with weaponry. Nothing final yet.

Image

EDIT: Also got the basic transition tiles finished up.

Awesome sprites! i do some programming myself, but nothing as advanced as an rpg, so I know how tough graphic work is. Does your company have a website? I'd love to check it out.

Nothing nearly so official, I'm afraid. We just make feeble attempts at games we think would be cool every so often.

EDIT: I'm not really satisfied with any of these sprites anyway, haha.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I do. What programming language do you guys use?

Well, I'm not a programmer (ironically, I'm writing this from my Computer Science classroom, where we're learning Java).

I'm no good at it yet. My friend usually uses C++ or C#, though.
