All very nice and wonderful, as usual, Dood man. The only other comment I will leave for you is that I always pictured Lady Liberty's torch extending into a flame-sword type weapon, with the tablety things turning into a sort of punch shield. Still, I love the look on her face as she kicks Communist Russia's ass. Now she needs to fight Socialist China.

Unfortunately, no. Just an RP on SSLF right now. I'd like to make a game of them though, that would be epic.[/quote]doodstormer wrote:
Oh ok, I see. Looks epic. Now that I've stuck the idea in the back of your brain, figure it out, mate.

I will kidnap all of Nintendo and ransom them for 1 million dollars, then use the money to hire them to make it into a game! It's foolproof!
Yankee and Dixie. Yankee is one of the Arena's few gladiators who can take Hackle on at close-quarters without getting crushed to pieces.
Also I stole the stars and stripes skull from that robot in Hardware. It was cool looking.

Well I thought the "Weird War" theme that's been going around amongst my Flickr friends was interesting, and lacking the appropriately themed pieces to go building Piltogg ghost-tanks and whatnot in the original medium of Lego, I decided to go for a drawn approach.
And then I thought, "Hey, people have already done all kinds of stuff for the Nazis and pretty much nobody else, what if I did a bunch of different pictures for multiple factions?"
So here's the first: Imperial Japan. There's so much weird war potential in there, I mean you've got samurai and dragons, the whole respecting ancestral spirits thing... There's all kinds of material there. I was going to do a samurai-themed hardsuit to join these guys, but after fiddling around with it for a couple hours I was like "screw it, it's getting nowhere." Maybe another time.

Oh man. A hardsuit based off of Do-maru? I'd like to see that. Especially since you'd of course have the eboshi. Can't do a proper set of do-maru without the eboshi. Sorry, I'm a weeaboo. Look it up if you dunno what I'm saying.
Good stuff so far, and you're right. Fantasy Imperial Japan fits perfectly into the Weird War theme. Great job.

MORE SKETCHES DUN DUN DUNN
Just another random sketch to start off with.
A smithee, I believe is the term they use.
A damsel type.
A crusader. I use that term liberally.
After I finished uploading this, I realized I hadn't finished Frankenstein's Monster's feet. Whoops.
This is a guy. He was going to be a boxing guy but then I decided he was way too bland.
A traveler I drew while my Geography teacher was rambling about Romania. Gypsies are cool, I guess.
A mummy. I'm working on a digital rendition, now that I've developed the character a bit more. Just take that one beetle and multiply it a few times.
MOAR DAKKA
Pew pew.
The masks give this guy different powers. Shown are the fire mask, which gives him the power to breathe flame, the terror mask which freezes you in place with a single glance, and the devil mask, which gives him immense strength. There's others too.
Also he's already a druid so he doesn't even technically need them, they're just overkill for cocky kids with their "technology" and "advantages".
Also I simply must say that the pirate buttplugs are quite excellent.

Yeah it's technically a spritesheet and not a sketch, but I didn't feel like resurrecting the ancient sprite topic. These are a little side project I've been working on off-and-on. They're just a single pixel too thin to work effectively in RPG Maker (I use odd numbers while their engine uses evens), so if I do anything with them it'll be in a different program. Probably with real-time combat like the Gameboy Zelda games. Swish swish!
EDIT:
Hahaa, animated.

Hey doodstormer, a lot of your drawings are very good. I'm just wondering what program you use to animate your sprites to turn them into animated gifs. I've used plain ole' MS Paint to do some spriting, but I never could learn how to animate them.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.
