Calling all Forum Know-Wots (Help with Lego part request)

Post by Warhead » Sat Oct 02, 2010 7:56 pm

Hi guys, here is the problem. I have one or two of these parts...

http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?col ... emID=66799

...to make some large tracks for... uh, a... um, tractor... Now, for the life of me I can NOT seem to find what cog toothed wheel goes with this wider track. Most of the sets I see have gubbins and stuff in the road so I never get a clear look. Does anyone have these or have knowledge of the parts I need for this si I can make what I need?

Cheers!

Based on the set #7685 Dozer, I believe this is what you seek:

or

Based on the set #8996 Skorpio XV-1, I believe this might be what you seek:

I did some investigating and found it's part 57518, on peeron at http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/57518 . I looked at the sets it's in, and found some parts you can use.

EDIT: The Bricklink links from Danny Boy are the same parts, 57519 and 57520.

Wow, you guys are so smart. Danny Boy posted while I was writing mine, so I didn't see it before I answered the question. You guys are just smartasses.

If you look at the post times, you can probably guess that Blitzen had already started writing her answer before Daniel posted his. Therefore it is my inescapable conclusion that each of you is just a smartass.

Thanks Daniel, Blitzen and Silva (his post was near enough to Blitzens to count), that confirms what I had suspected myself but I just couldn't be sure, the part looked sort of Duplo-ish. Thanks for the Peeron link too, I'll use it in future, Cheers! :D

Now I can order what I need for this Super Heavy.... um, tractor. Thanks guys!

EDIT: Order for 8 of the big cogs and about 20 smaller (different from above, they're just for looks) mid track bogey wheels ordered. That should go well with the 200+ track parts I have, this sucker is gonna be HUGE! Purely for agricultural use.

I take it that it will be for the meat harvesting parts of agricultural. I hope it will be able to make it into Fico.

Hehehe. *cough* um... Who? ME!?!

@Moronstudios: Indeed, I hear the bacon harvest will be bumper this year. But what would Piltogs men do with a tractor in FICO? Tis a very strange request.

@Silva: Tisk, that be a racist Potato Paddy joke you cheeky young scamp, and in this country that sort of talk could earn you a surprise knifing of your anus (that's not a euphemism for dapper sex, they actually do stab people up the arse here) if uttered in the wrong pub.
