SNES Appreciation Topic!

I'm just bored, and I've been playing my SNES a lot recently.

Seriously though, SNES is easily one of the greatest systems ever. I've owned my current one since I was an infant and I've been playing it ever since I first developed basic motor skills. I've never played a bad game (although, that may change) and it's got some of the greatest RPG's ever created, among other things. GAH, I just love this console so much ;_;

If you've got a SNES hooked up right now, what game is currently in it? I've got Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest and it's soon going to be Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

I just run an emulator on my computer or buy games off VC for Wii. Nevertheless, SNES is a cool system.

I remember one time I bought a game on the VC (ActRaiser, to be exact) because I had heard good things about it. I really enjoyed it, and within a month I found an actual copy at a used game store. I bought it instantly, and then felt stupid because I felt like I had wasted 8 or so dollars on the VC version.

My cousin gave me an SNES for Manly Santa Day once with all of his games. I played it on and off, but my favorite game was Super Mario World.

Fast forward 5 years, his sister comes over and says she's going to college and wants her SNES back. Waaaaaah. That was two years ago too. I still miss it...

Super Mario World was awesome, but IMO the 2nd one is way better. Speaking of which, I really want to play that game again. I had it for the GBA, but some bastard stole it. Perhaps I'll go hunting for a copy tomorrow...

Oh snap, they have Sim Ant for SNES?
Maybe tomorrow I'll type up a list of my games when I get home from work.

ooh loved that game, too bad I never managed to finish it before it was given away. I can't find it in the virtual console either.

Woohoo! I got Yoshi's Island and Secret of Evermore today. I saw Starfox and considered getting it, but it'll have to wait.

My most prominent childhood memories are mainly of Donkey Kong Country. In fact, I'm playing through #2 right now.
