Massacre at Two-Lip Tower

Post by Adean » Tue Jun 03, 2008 11:37 pm

After my first ever BrikWars battle, I felt very inspired. So, because we didn't take pictures, I decided to draw an epic picture to compensate.

<a href="http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s113 ... owerDA.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s113 ... owerDA.jpg" border="0" alt="Massacre At Two-Lip Tower"></a>

Everything in this picture actually happened. Took me about four days. Ethan (Captain Nomouth) told me about BrikWars about a week ago, and I've been drawing legos constantly since. After all, BrikWars is a very inspiring concept. Last Friday I headed over to his place and played a game. And it. Was. Epic. Why yes, that is the Ark of the Covenant. I gained control of that near the end of the game. I led the fearless crew of bounty hunters, The League of Well-Dressed Gentlemen, which I had hastily assembled prior to the game with Ethan's collection of Legos. His band of treasure hunters (Led by the intrepid Captain Nomouth) were no match for Adean the thief and his band of stylish heroes. Yes, Adean is holding a frog. Yes, they are using Benny-Billy-Bobby's body as cover. Yes, Feeble the Cowardly was blessed by My Little Ponies to become the Cowardly Lord of Death. You wanna hear more about it just let me know. Everything in this picture was all a part of my very first Game of BrikWars. We're gonna play again on Thursday. Prepare for more epic pictures of ossumness!!!

~Stephen

I love this game!!! Thanks Rayhawk for all your inspiration!!! I haven't been this excited about my art in a long time!!! :D

That is an epic picture. Probably one of the best I've seen on the forum, 'cept Rayhawk's of course.

I really like the flying lord of death and the frog. Battle report please!

After careful deliberation, I am forced to conclude: sweet

Although the judges' scores are final, I still want to know more of the details. Why is the dirt wearing a hat? Why are outhouses exploding? Rivers of blood are awesome? Wait, that last one wasn't a question, it was just improperly punctuated.

Wicked picture, and welcome to the forum! What did you use to color it, pencils? Also, I'm gonna guess you photoshopped in your quite subtle watermark? :P
It's a secret to everybody.

If that's your first game, I'd say that you're starting off on the right foot.
Possibly the best foot.

I like the soldier by the outhouse.
He has this look that he may have gotten there too late.

looks like it. personally, i think this would have looked best with watercolors, but that's just me being a fat art critic.

5. The dirt is wearing a hat because the medic rolled a critical failure while trying to revive the guy with a top hat and cane.

6. Outhouses are exploding because jabba the hut went suicidal next to one at the beginning of the battle.

7. Yes, rivers of blood are awesome...

Yeah, I used pencils to color it. Took me forever though. I usually use markers as my medium. Yes, watercolors would have been ossum, but I hate using watercolors. I think the background would have looked a lot better in watercolor. I used photoshop to make some very subtle touch ups, the watermark and the border. The watermark is subtle, because blatant marks suck, although they are important on the net.

Thanks for all your support guys! I'm really excited about starting my new hobby. :D Ethan and I hope that tomorrow's battle will be equally epic so I'll be able to do something new. Hmmm, once I get a tablet I'll be able to do some digital painting...

Yeah, my medic was a failure at the beginning. That tophat guy was one of my favorite Well-Dressed Gentlemen. Anyways, that lady with the green jeweled staff is my medic. When Captain Nomouth's sniper took him out early in the game, she rushed to heal him. Of course I rolled a one (the first of many) and he was turned to dust. It was very sad (Mr. Twissle!! Noooooooo!!!) :P

Jabba the Hutt went on a suicide run in the beginning. He was controlled by another player named Max who had top leave right when the game started. It was quite humorous. Of course, the port-o-potty didn't blow up because it is the Port-o-Potty of Indestuctable Porcelain Ossumness, the porcelain throne blessed by My Little Ponies.

Tons of other stuff happened too. That guy with two guns got a massive critical through the door of the tower. The guy he shot at exploded, flooding the first floor of the tower with blood and immobilizing Captain Nomouth with bloody ecstasy who was standing near the door. After the same shooter got another hit through the door, the blood began to spill out into the battlefield, making it very hard to move.

Also, that guy with the spike on his head well... So my sniper took a shot at him, missed and blew his hat off. We were surprised to see that concealed under the hat was a large purple afro. Then my archer shot at him, missed, and shaved his afro off. Of course, underneath his afro was a spare hat (not pictured). Then, my sniper took another shot at him, missed again, and took his spare hat off. Underneath was a big spike of hair. His name wasn't Alfred at all! It was Alfalfa!

There's more of course, but I think this post is getting a little long. Next time we'll take pictures, I promise!

Dude - is that supposed to be the Ark of the Covenant or something on the right?
