COH - King of Fail

So its 90 degrees and the AC is broken, they refuse to fix it till monday.
I can't work in the heat so 2 days of work lost, sat/sun.

I try to start up COH OF just to mess around in solo play.

I WONT START!

Oh it runs, then tells you you need a patch for online.
You can try to get it, but you can't.
You can try to cancel but then you can't login.
You can try to login, but then it throws up the patch screen.
The only button that does what it says is "Exit to Windows"

On a forum it says to disconnect your internet connection and run from the disk. That doesn't work either. Just after the load bar fills, I get a blue screen complaining about some bullshit because there is no connection. So I need to use the power button to shutdown.

Genius!

So they have effectively locked me out of my own game.

Dude, that sucks... something similar to that's happened to me in Battlefield 2142.

okay, i've had this exact same problem in the exact same game.

you can download the patch from a third party source. i don't remember where though, i want to say fileplanet. anyways, find it somewhere, and extract the files directly to the game folder. from there, run the patch installation program, and it'll download it all. from there, it'll install. then just start the game, and play against me!

what's your username? i'm IVhorseman there as well. also, panzer elite > all, amirite?

I've never played online with that game.
Yeah I like the germans too.
