Freedom's Blood (Round 1)
http://www.brikwars.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6338
Zahru - Zahru II
Unsurprisingly, perhaps, the Slayer would be the first to act.
Zahru decided to push himself to his limit from the start. The troll arm ripped through his leather armour as he flexed his muscles and called upon its powers.
Lead assassin: "So he's the warrior that's been giving us so much trouble. He'll make a good slave."
Assassin: "Remember there's a price on his head, let's get him guys!"
Zahru, however, didn't appear to be planning to let himself be enslaved. Grabbing his bow, he attempted to rapidfire at the rangers, but his bowstring snapped. Not a good start. (I rolled a 1 so it failed despite the mods. He still has the bow but it will require an action to repair it)
Undaunted by the loss, Zahru armed himself with his most powerful weapons and charged across the bridge.
"Time for slaughter!"
He made a spin and attacked the first assassin with his katana, but the assassin managed to dodge his attack. His counterattack only just failed to harm Zahru.
Zahru shrugged it off and, continuing his spin, took out the assassin with a blow to the back of the head.
"Come on you cutthroats! Are you the Elite now or what?" the Slayer jeered.
Rax's Rebels - Warhead
Crossbowmen spread out to set up response fire against all possible threats while the catapult rolled forward slightly to allow room for the Elites to pass through behind. Two manned the catapult and attempted to fire it, but crit failed and broke it (will require two actions to be repaired). General Rax zipped up the side of the hill.
Mumbles the Mad presented himself to his enemies and attempted to increase the strength of his magic shield, but failed.
Following that, he took off his clothes to cause a distraction.
Luckily an Elite prevented worse by dragging him back to safety and putting his clothes back on.
Contrary to his men, Rax got good rolls and managed to sprint over to the gate. He then asked the Boar God for strength to help open the gate, calling upon the ancient incantations...
"OPEN DAMNIT!"
It worked! With an impressive display of strength, Rax managed to lift the gate up.
"FOLLOW!"
Hearing this command, two Phalanx broke from formation and sprinted.
They managed to wedge their halberds under the gate to keep it open, but found the cavalry waiting on the other side. Thus the Phalanx, though unarmed, placed themselves in front of their commander protectively.
The rest of the formation then advanced. (I think they've never looked cooler than they do on this picture )
Hitokiri - Killer Karetsu
The Hitokiri charged across the river towards the squad of swordsmen led by the infantry commander. Kage went solo, his horse shooting forward like the wind and zipping under the High Lord's defences, allowing him to cut at the Titan's kneecap.
Vladek: "WHAT-?"
Right before the impact, the Elite Hitokiri jumped off from their steeds and used their trademark Windledge ability. However the swordsmen squad braced as one and withstood the charge, and their heavy armour and shields saved them from the Hitokiri's ranged attacks. (for those who don't have a clue what I'm talking about, watch Ninja Scroll. It's good.)
Bloody hell Kage, I know I gave you a 3d6 damage weapon but don't you think you're exaggerating a little?
The lethal strike ripped through Vladek in true anime-styled fashion.
"Raaaaargh!"
*Splooch* The clean cut became visible as the High Lord hit the ground, stone dead. (I was surprised too) However there was a downside: one Elite Hitokiri and his steed were crushed by the Titan.
Kage, seeing how his men's assault had failed, addressed them.
Kage: "Guard yourselves, men!"
His feat worked, and it allowed them to set up a reaction.
The rest of the Hitokiri began to charge across the bridge to support Zahru.
The Trogdor leaped on top of the hill and used his firebreath...
... burninating a ranger.
(And so it begins ^__^ Since this battle is huge I'll be processing it in groups of 3 turns like I did now. To keep things fair I'll only accept new orders after I've posted the overviews. Also, when you send your orders, please include the name of your faction in the title of the PM.)

(Blood... lots.)
Urban Guard - FISH!!!
The Bloodguard squadded up with his spearmen and charged. One heavy swordsman ended up dead. They retaliated and slew two spearmen.
The rest moved up. The crossbowmen were stuck behind the swordsmen and out of range.
The Bloodguard then attempted something cool, but failed.
Summoner's Legion - solvess
"Volley!"
Despite being in danger to shoot down some of their own men since they were in combat they managed to shoot down the final two spearmen. The Bloodguard narrowly avoided being damaged.
But the cannon then fired on him as well.
Luckily it caused only knockback and even freed him from the melee, but it also disrupted him.
"Fire!"
The Telmarines made their shots count, but the White Dragon Knights defended themselves well and only the cannon managed to kill; an officer bit the dust.
The summoner focused his powers into one...
A water elemental stepped through the portal.
Bloodguard - Ross_Varn
Two knights charged and killed a heavy swordsman.
The rest charged the wall of pikes they were confronted with. This is going to be messy...
Results: all horses and knights dead, 3 dead halberdiers and 3 disrupted ones.
The rest of the knights advanced across the river. Since the Hitokiri's horses were in the way they decided to mount them.
They killed a heavy swordsman.
(I still need orders from some people, you know who you are... and I know where you live. )
