i forgot to mention that you have a minimum UR of 4 with this rule.
also, for range, i go by 3x+3. caps at 18", which i feel is a good distance: long enough to be believable from a massive gun, yet short enough to still be balanced.

18 INCHES?!?! To scale, that's around 54 feet! A real turret, such as on a battleship or a tanks, has much, much longer ranges. I know using REAL ranges is too big, but I think it should be at least more than that. I usually use something like this: 4x+1-5, 'caps' at 35-45". But the rifles only shoot 12". I'm not talking realistic scale, i'm talking game-balance scale.

well if you're looking for something to fire long distances, that's what a launcher is for. 5d10" range means that you're averaging at 30", with a max as high as 50"
and that's BEFORE bonus dice!

shouldn't the gunner also give a bonus for when he's carrying a weapon like the black ops "death machine" i mean Gatling guns sound right up his alley.
