The Bridge

Post by Apollyon » Mon Apr 11, 2011 6:34 am

Rejoice! i have fought my first proper Brikwars battle with a real life person. Took a bunch of pics, too:

Image

Assembling the forces.

Image

After some ad hoc statting and building we decided on a simple scenario: we would fight over control of a bridge.

Image

I draw first blood.

Image

My sorceress (heroine) tried to magically freeze the creek but failed and got slain in close combat.

Image

My cavalry dished some serious damage supported by claymore men.

Image

Charge!

Image

My friend's wizard tried a spell resulting in an epic fail.

Image

Just trying some photographing tricks here.

Image

I was quite successful destroying the left flank.

Image

Overwatch after the last turn. The amount of bloodshed was adequate.

Image

The surviving crownies fled the field.

Image

And left me as conqueror of the bridge. I had a blast playing this.

Great!
But the reason for retreating was probably time, hm? Those lions could have won.

I was thinking the same thing. But, just look at how mean that guy on the left looks! Your medieval forces look great.

We made up a house rule concerning the control of the bridge and it made me the winner of the battle at that point.
Of course we could have played on until the last man standing but that would have taken ages.

Elegant-yet-simple battlefield, great looking forces, nice photograph, I believe this battle report deserves a win!

:guinness:

and congrats on having a REAL game! It's a nice feeling isn't it?

Indeed, it feels fantastic! Better than forum battles in many ways with the main point being that forum battles tend to drag on for days, weeks, even months! In a REAL battle you have a few hours of raw unrestrained fun, then you pack up and move on with your life.

Edit:

I have read this before but i hate my photos! Ok, at least they are not blurry most of the time but yuck! They are way too dark for starters.
