First battle

Post by Theblackdog » Fri Jun 27, 2008 6:46 am

So yesterday my little brother and his friend fought against me in our playtest of the house rules. The rules were fine, but note to self: Either build more APCs or use a smaller field. It took forever for the infantry to get anywhere.
The pictures appeared too big when shown on the forums, so I'll just provide links to the brickshelf gallery where they're at a more normal size. I didn't want to spend the whole battle taking pictures, but I did take shots of some of the highlights of the battle.

Here's an overall view of the carnage at the end of the battle. Most of my brother's vehicles are piled in a big heap on the ground, in the upper left corner of the frame. Two of my vehicles (both offscreen) were destroyed outright, and one more (the brown gunship) was disabled. The Mechanik is trying to fix it, but he never managed to successfully do so.

Here my post-apocalyptic Battle Zamboni turns its flamethrower on the pilot of my little brother's BoatTank. I wanted to send one of my own pilots over to commandeer the BoatTank, but a low-level fire burned in the cockpit for the rest of the game. Two turns later, the Zamboni was destroyed when it used its flamethrower on a minifig with an automatic grenade launcher and the grenades exploded due to the intense heat.

Here we see my little brother's hero (the black minifig), who jumped onto my fighter last turn and tried to attack it with his katana. In response, my jetpack-equipped SpaceHero tried to jump onto the fighter and shoot my brother's hero off. He rolled a Critical Failure for that stupendous feat, and the fighter hit him and sent him flying off the edge of the battlefield. Next turn, realizing that his katana wasn't very effective against the heavily armored fighter, my brother's hero jumped off the fighter into a squad of my infantry, crushing one trooper and beheading another before he was killed.

I'd prefer a completely reported with photos battle report.

You never heard of these guys?

The rest of the battle wasn't interesting enough to be worth seeing. It's nothing new. How much excitement do you get out of "this vehicle shoots that vehicle" anyway? I just focused on the (relatively) unique stuff.

More that you imagine. Don't worry, it's not just me who thinks this.

That's what makes Brikwars cool. If you don't like, i wonder why you really like Brikwars in general.
