The Lair of Fudge OR Fudge Underworld Top Thread
You are invited to enter the Lair Of Fudge, a dungeon-based forum battle brikwar, inspired by brikquest with the basic rules of brikwars (what rules?).
Also, from now on the Lair Of Fudge will be known as LOF because its a ridiculous name. EDIT: Now called Fudge Underworld.
http://www.brikwars.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6622
Turn 0: http://www.brikwars.com/forums/viewtopi ... 985#166985
Team 1: NapalmKing, Zahru, FISH!!!, Olothontor, RJ
Team 2: Warhead, Killer Karetsu, GeneralofDeath
The rules for this game are (as well as other brikwars rules):
THE RULE OF FUDGE IS STILL THE MOST IMPORTANT
The emphasis is still on fun, not being an anorak.
TURNS
Turn sequence will be random, including enemies controlled by myself.
Heros have 2 HPs, after that they are deemed to be unconcious and must be revived. Certain attacks will affect the stats of heros either temporarily or permanently unless items or skills are used. The game will be played in a set of turns for each room. Players may move, attack, use an item, examine or do any other action or combination of these actions in their turn. This means that unlike in standard rules, a player can order their character to attack twice or move twice etc.
As mentioned in both game rules, action difficulty will be decided by the gamesmaster, and then skill is rolled against it to check for success or failure (crits are still applicable).
Heroic feats are limited to 1 per player.
Sir Fokclown the Mighty and his runic chainsward, Jagtooth.
HEALTH
As mentioned above, each hero has 2HP, after which any damage sustained causes them to be knocked down or whatever other fate is applicable in the situation. Each player's hero has as standard a med kit in their inventory, which can be used once to heal both HPs or revive an ally to 1HP of health.
BASE CLASSES
Everyone chooses a class and then has 6CP to spend. Any points not spent are converted into 100 gold per 1CP. Bare in mind this can then be used later at a convenient vending machine.
KNIGHT ------- 1D10SKILL ------- 6MOVE ------- 2D6AR +1 CC
ASSASSIN ------- 1D10 SKILL ------- 8MOVE ------- 1D10AR +1 "R
WARRIOR PRIEST ------- 1D10 SKILL ------- 7MOVE ------- 1D10AR Flaggelant bitchslap - U5 spell causing 1d6+2 dmg to target . Protect - U4 no dmg taken next turn on target or oneself.
SOLDIER ------- 1D10SKILL ------- 7MOVE ------- 2D6AR
NECRO ------- 1D10SKILL ------- 7MOVE ------- 1D10AR Blighty Blight! - U3 spell causing 1D6-2 dmg in a 3" area of effect. Summon bigger spirit - U4 spell - D roll determines result
BEZERKER ------- 1D10SKILL ------- 6MOVE ------- 2D6AR-2 +2 CC
ARMS AND ARMOUR
Above: Just a small sample of the instruments of PAIN! to be found in LOF. Actually, these are the starting weapons.
Here's a breakdown of the starting weapons wall:
From the top, going down in columns:
MACE ------- 3CP ------- U3 ------- 1D6+2 ------- HEAVY
NONDESCRIPT STICK ------- 1CP ------- U3 ------- 1D6-1 ------- 1H
TIGER GLOVE ------- 3CP ------- U4 ------- 1D10------- 1H
SHIELD------- 2CP ------- U2 ------- PARRY/SHOVE------- 1H
S-SWORD------- 2CP ------- U2 -------1D6 ------- 1H
CROSSBOW------- 3CP ------- U3 ------- R6 ------- 1D6 ------- 1H two handed to reload
JAVELIN------- 1CP ------- U3 ------- R4 ------- 1D6 ------- 1H can be reused if collected
CUTLASS------- 2CP ------- U2------- 1D6------- 1H
BATTLEAX------- 3CP ------- U3 ------- 1D6+2 ------- HEAVY
ROGUE! PACK ------- 4 CP------- U3 ------- (1D6)X2 ------- 2H
The rogue equipment is two knives and a special suit. This gives +1" movement at the cost of -1 armour. It also has the bonus of providing -1 skill mod to any enemy ranged combatants.
A crossbow can be fired single-handedly, but at the cost of having to manually reload the next turn. Wielding it two handed means that there is no reload in the next turn required after shooting. The stick is turned into a staff by a magic-user, granting a +1" range and +1 skill to any actions taken by the user. Otherwise it is unwise to use it unless you're insane, are favoured by the Blood God or want a cheap alternative to a sword - leaving more points for armour (you're gonna need it ;p).
Javelins are throwable weapons but in Close Combat suffer from a -1 to damage.
As long as the player has enough points, they can take any feasable combination of equipment.
HEADGEAR
1------- BATTLEHELM ------- 2CP ------- +1 AR, +1 CC SKILL
2 ------- MODHELM ------- 1CP ------- +1 AR, CAN BE MODIFIED
3 ------- CURSEDHELM ------- 3CP ------- +2 AR, -1 SKILL WHEN FACING DAEMONS
4------- PADDED HAT ------- 1CP ------- +1 R
5 ------- BEZERKER ------- 3CP ------- +2 CC, -1 AR
CLOTHING/BODY ARMOUR
1 ------- BRACKET ------- 1CP ------- GIVES SPACE FOR ITEMS/ACCESORIES
2------- SUIT OF ARMOUR ------- 3CP ------- +2 AR, - 1 MOVE
3------- BRACKET ------- 1CP ------- GIVES SPACE FOR ITEMS/ACCESORIES
You get gold by looting treasure, which will automatically be kept in a little inventory bank I've got for y'all. So, instead of weight or reality, number of items will depend on space in your bank. The limit is on weapons; you can only have up to three, and that's if you have three hands or have any form of holstering e.g. the bracket, an x-sword holder or a belt.
TURN 0 /// FORMATTING ORDERS
The MGMT would like to apologise for this blatant attrocity of " a seepage of reality into the metafictional" and so ask for clients to count on their willing suspension of disbelief.
This is the first room for turn 0.
And this is the spawn point.
Players then move through to the various walls buying their supplies, before proceeding up the ladder to the first room proper.
Feel free to send orders with MSpainted diagrams of the turn planned.
Anyone who wants a custom sigfig replicated as closely as I can PM me ASAP with your orders. Sigfigs must not have any bulky features so no helmets, weaponry, equipment, armour etc... hats that clearly don't grant a bonus are allowed, hair is also... any non-standard minifig pieces such as hooked hands, peglegs, mechanical robotic features will be counted as purely cosmetic and will only grant any forms of bonus for comedic purposes.
I will be using some photoshopping effects for this. If you don't like it, I don't care and gtfo.
If NapalmKing, Zahru, Warhead, Olothontor, or RJ don't respond to a PM in the next 3 days, I'll open it up again for anyone else interested.

LOF is a kind of uninspiring acronym. Have you considered Fudge Underworld?Magic Soap wrote:Also, from now on the Lair Of Fudge will be known as LOF because its a ridiculous name.

Zarhu, RJ and NapalmKing confirmed. Does anyone know when Warhead has been on or is he away? And the same with Olothontor, just unusual absence of Warhead since my return. I hope it wasn't something I said...
On other news its a neck to neck race with coccyx and turnip having received equal votes :P
