Looks like a pretty big deal. Will be taking my son down there for sure. Wondering if any of the super cool aftermarket guys like Brickarms will be there?

I think that's why it's called.... Kids Fest

Unfortunately Brickmania will not be there... =( Hopefully some other aftermarket guys will be there... I need some new BrickArms!

As the Kidsfest events are official LEGO events rather than fan run conventions, no custom accessory vendors will be present. There will, however, be a shop area for LEGO sets though.

You do realize that Brickarms are sold at the train club on the second Saturday of every month. AND you don't have to pay shipping. Right? Also they sell older sets and Brickmania sets and of course it's interesting to see what stuff they have added to their diorama. Bulk bricks are obviously available in large quantity at MOA (I think my record is 1,323 pieces in a $15 cup so far.), so there isn't much of a need for non-lego retailers to be at conventions for us at all.

Just picked up six stahlhelms and 6 mp40s and about 12 assorted weapons this morning there by the way.

Yeah I go to the monthly event down there often. Usually blow about $20 on BrickArms stuff from Brickmania. Last two months I've been pretty busy on the weekends so I haven't made it out. Got some cash built up that I'll likely spend at Kids Fest now.

I gotta get down there next month tho.... before all the new weapon packs are gone =)

If you're a gifted procrastinator like myself you haven't bought tickets yet... and it pays! Here's an online coupon. $2 off each ticket; so that covers the .50 cent online surcharge plus more!

We'll be at the 3-8 session... if you see a 30-something nerd wearing a light tan shirt that says 'adorkable' don't be shy =)

Not even a tornado can stand in between me and Lego! It was awesome! Got to meet Badger too which was cool.
