The Quest of Piltogg: Battle for the Head Separator Prelude

The Magic SOB forum is for posts of story sequences that are frequently vignette-based. Put those here while actual battle reports can go in Reports From the Field.
You must talk like James T. Kirk in this forum at all times. Leonard Nimoy is fine too.

The Quest of Piltogg: Battle for the Head Separator Prelude

Post by Natalya » Fri May 20, 2011 9:30 pm

Piltogg: Those ignorant Assyrians. I have waited long enough. The time has come to end their pathetic defiance of our will.

Image

Robot!

Have the allied commanders sent in here at once. It is time to initiate our plans.

Robot: Yes master.

*Robot Leaves*

Image

Piltogg: Time to crush the ASE.

Image

*Vas Kallas Enters*

Vas Kallas: Herr Piltogg

Piltogg: Even when you don't hold a rifle your gun has a scope on it.

Image

Vas Kallas: I favour accuracy over brute strength.

Image

Piltogg: That is exactly what this mission requires. The devotion of Friedrich's men is admirable but their brawling will not suit us now.

Vas Kallas: I understand.

Image

*Admiral Heinrich Müller Enters with Freidrich, leader of the fanatic mob.*

Piltogg: Freidrich, Heinrich, we are about to initiate the attack.

Image

Admiral Müller: Excellent. All ships are prepared for your orders.

Image

*Warhead enters with Admiral Franco of the Inquistadores and Major Riker of the MAOX*

Piltogg: Welcome gentlemen. It is time for the attack on the Assyrians. As you all know, our goal is to obtain the Head Separator. If we get that then we can use it in a full-scale assault on their homeworld Austere. When Austere falls the Assyrians will be forced to submit to our will. We will take their technology and exploit their worlds. It will be our first major conquest in our quest to dominate the galaxy.

Image

Warhead: Don't get too cocky Piltogg. The Assyrians are not to be underestimated. The Vol have sent detailed reports of their clashes with the ASE. My men can surely crush them but we have more important matters at hand. Your little scheme is clever but my support for it will not be for your sake.

Admiral Franco: Piltogg you will have some support from us, but like every other faction in the Empire, we have our own agenda as well. Our support is likewise conditional.

Piltogg: Perhaps, but both of you know that what we gain from crushing the ASE will significantly advance everyone's agendas. Now, let us review the plan one final time before we commence the attack.

Image

*Piltogg Activates the Screen*

Image

Piltogg: Bordering Assyrian space is the fledgling Czecho-Slovenian Republik. Right now they maintain a stance of neutrality with regards to us, but I think we all recognize that anyone who is not with us is not worth our mercy.

Image

On the desert world of Perseid IV the Alltimate Corporation has a small warehouse. Intelligence reports that it has a number of their Black Knight hardsuits inside. For Phase One we will perform a surgical strike to capture as many of them as possible.

Image

For Phase Two we will knock out an Assyrian Defense Platform along the ASE/CSR border.

Image

While the Assyrians rally their forces to meet the threat we will enter Assyrian space undetected to the galactic north. Not far from there is the planet Aratus II. This is the location of the Head Separator. In Phase Three we will use the stolen Black Knight suits to get the Head Separator. After that we can make a combined assault on Austere.

Image

Admiral Franco: Very well Piltogg. I am tired of waiting. When do we start this?

Piltogg: We arrive in the Perseid System in 2 days. Once there we will set to work.

Warhead: Excellent. Once we arrive notify me and we will begin the attack.

The spots I have so far are going to be as follows:

Assyrian Star Empire: CLOSED
Czecho-Slovevenian Republik: CLOSED
Immortals: Warhead
MAOX: BFenix
Inquistadores: Bragallot
Akkadian Empire: Piltogg

When I finalize the teams I will open registration and do a top thread. After my work today, the super awesome Death Wall battle field is almost complete for part 3. Part 2 will be a small Micro-Space battle. Part 1 will be on a ghetto battlefield similar to the one from Unrest.

huh.... I had always pictured this more as a raid than an attempt to get an edge on the ASE in the long run. Then again... this is much cooler. Also, your version of Piltogg looks way cooler than the hard-suit does. And I like it. Good job with the screen effects by the way. that was a particularly nice touch.

Yeah I mean objectives can change but in the scheme of the Immortal War, the ASE is like sworn enemies with all of the Immortal Alliance so that means we're slated for destruction at some point or another.

Am I the only one who thinks the Piltogg figure looks like M. Bison?

So, are you going to add more factions, or leave it as it is right now?

H'mm, Piltogg risks much here with a surgical strike. If we lose this battle then Assyria will become a rallying point to all our enemies. It would have been better to crush out all resistance in an all out attack after our fifth colonists have sown the seeds of unrest and disaffection among their populous and their armies engaged in stamping out daring pirate raids and an new undead threat, all secretly funded by the Immortals obviously.

The Immortals keep their promises and support their allies but this head separator had better be worth it Heir Piltogg.

Wow! - who needs to watch the telly? - this is brilliant. Excellent senario introduction and the screen was a wonderful extra touch.
