That was the video. Yes, it was a beta.IVhorseman wrote:oh, there IS a write-up. i've read it. i forget what happens, other than holy water doing damage taking up 1/4 of a turn or something ridiculous like that, which was scoffed and laughed at.
One thing about BrikWar Zombies versus Movie Zombies is the dramatic lack of "fear" on the combatants' part. The first game, instead of culling themselves into small, escape-less farmhouses for easy slaughter, the players banded together to form a "grapple-and-chainsaw" attack strategy that pretty much decimated the zombie hordes.
The next attempt tried to make the zombies more menacing and generate a bigger fear factor. Mostly by having zombies appear on die rolls than a straight up starting position. Only there was a distance factor where most of the zombies ended up appear too far away to be scary. In fact, I think there was only 1 instance of a player entering a store and being ambushed.
Here's some of the pdf from that game.
For the next installment, I'm working on tweaking the rules to cut down on the distance, and up the possibilities of turning players into zombies themselves--which was a whole other issue.
