Kleinpanzers, and other hardsuity things.

Post by Aree't'sa » Mon Jun 06, 2011 7:15 am

By "Kleinpanzer" I mean my little tiny hardsuit design.
By "Other hardsuity things" I mean assorted other hardsuity things that aren't actually based on the Kleinpanzer skeleton. That can include Clonetard City micromechae, but they'll go in their own topic at some point.

So: I spent a full fortnight, posting one of them every day.

One: AQ-6J Security Exoskeleton
For inspections, and making a bloody mess of any unwanted boarders.
<img src="http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/azaza ... yone/1.png" border="4" width="700" height="525" alt=""></a>
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/256260

Two: Cambridge Device
When Those Wacky Nazis come up with early powered combat armour, naturally some british schweinhunds will steal a prototype.
<img src="http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/azaza ... ytwo/2.png" border="4" width="700" height="525" alt=""></a>
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/256457

Three: Exoskelettkleinpanzer Ausf-G 'Valkyrie'
Like I said, Those Wacky Nazis. This is a later model; silly brits, stealing the prototype. Everyone except mecha anime fans know the prototypes are full of glitches and poor design decisions!
<img src="http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/azaza ... hree/1.png" border="4" width="700" height="525" alt=""></a>
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/256639

Four: Type VII battledress
Same story series as the first one, but this one is for ripping mechae apart on the battlefield.
<img src="http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/azaza ... four/1.png" border="4" width="700" height="525" alt=""></a>
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/256799

Five: Unsicherwaffenfabrik "Seeharnisch"
Yes, I know what the name spells. It's a deep-sea assault suit, for when a submarine command post just won't stop giving orders to the enemy.
<img src="http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/azaza ... five/2.png" border="4" width="700" height="525" alt=""></a>
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/256993

Six: DBG Industries "Flashman"
Got a weed/native plantlife/wife problem? Just call on the psychotic Nadir Industries to provide you with a useful robotic solution, which almost never* goes rogue and treats everything that moves as a pest and exterminating it/them due to residual programming from the (now banned after a (brief) series of unfortunate** incidents of attempted genocide) SPR-A series exterminator drones, and will never ever*** develop a SHODAN type god complex or Cavil type generalist evil personality.
<img src="http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/azaza ... ysix/1.png" border="4" width="700" height="525" alt=""></a>
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/257123

Seven: Harpy
Flying about and crashing into people like half a tonne of clawed, winged bricks.
The lower legs act as shock absorbers, but I didn't take a pic of that.
<img src="http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/azaza ... /title.png" border="4" width="700" height="525" alt=""></a>
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/257336

Eight: Fenrisulfr
I occasionally have bouts with Brikwars style insanity. This was one of them. A Space Viking light combat armour, suited for low intensity scouting and the suppression of small riots. Not armed enough for heavier duty, I'm afraid.
<img src="http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/azaza ... ight/1.png" border="4" width="700" height="525" alt=""></a>
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/257544]Mocpage

Nine: DCA medical exoskeleton
Doctor, doctor, I appear to be on fire! Has a nice backpack; you might want to check the mocpage.
<img src="http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/azaza ... Nine/1.png" border="4" width="700" height="525" alt=""></a>
<img src="http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/azaza ... Nine/7.png" border="4" width="700" height="525" alt=""></a>
A team of Space Vikings got their grubby hands on one; unfortunately, the result was much too lightly armed for anything more hazardous than routine police patrols.
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/257544

Ten: number 10 was a murderbot that I didn't think was good enough to go here. Link anyway, though.
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/257866

Eleven: Space Marine armour
For all the steroid overdosed army units out there.
Wasn't very popular; received a resounding "meh" from the Mocpages populace.
Image
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/258003

Twelve: MRB-L Scythe
A minimecha.
Image
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/258156

Thirteen: CPC riot control armour
Because those hippies won't just beat themselves up.
<img src="http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/azaza ... teen/1.png" border="4" width="700" height="525" alt=""></a>
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/258291

Fourteen: Black Guard armour
<del>All hail House Hood!</del> Lostech, because the space!praetorian guard deserve the best.
<img src="http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/azaza ... teen/1.png" border="4" width="700" height="525" alt=""></a>

Uncanny! I had just been looking for inspiring Steampunk pictures of "Flashman" for my Britannian League when I stumbled on your amazing stuff (because of DBG Industries "Flashman"). I've spent the last few minuets admiring all of these since, and low and behold here you are? Amazing Koincidence. Welcome to Brikwars, very cool builds.

I like the black guard very much. You must be a very good builder, welcome to brikwars! (you must be ready to blow these all up, which may be a bit hard)

Not really sure; good for mocpages, but not that great.

As for following up, these're from quite a while ago. They're not actually for brikwars, though, which is why they're not in that part of the forum.
Never really did catch on to the rules, myself.

Retractable landing gear and all. Clicky clicky!

Vroom vroom. There'd be a guy in the back operating the flamethrower, and there is in the other pictures, but I left out a mudguard on the right hand side.

The PA-42; made it while seriously sick with the flu quite a while ago; and I mean Rainbow-Warrior "quite a while".

There was a guy or two on here who adapted it; but then, if I were going to have problems with people taking my ideas in new directions, I wouldn't have put them on the internet in the first place.

Two LDD warships, micro scale, but pretty nice methinks:

I know I titled it for hardsuits, but what the frak, better than spamming up the forum with two-or-three-post threads.

I have other things, but it's getting late.

Whoa, awesome stuff. The copter and vehicles I'd seen before on mocpages but the hardsuits are new. And amazing.

Welcome to the forums, we've got fun and games.

These are all superb. You are clearly a great builder.

Great suits and frames. Well done. I am inspired to revisit my failed attempts to make hardsuits. :D

Would you look at that? The "terrorist" himself has made his presence on this neck of the internet woods. I always thought your Alenian vehicles were the most brikwarsy in D&L.

Anyways, welcome to the forum, Arty. Enjoy yourself.

Wow, welcome to the forums, may we be blessed with many more of your creations. I have to ask, though (as I'm much too lazy to 6. find one, or 7. look at the pictures to see if I can actually build one) could you post a breakdown of your hardsuit thing? I might not even build any if you do, they always give me trouble, but it would be nice to see.

I was just about to ask that. A reliable hardsuit base can always be used to it's full potential.

I actually did take a couple:

Well, it is that. Quite sturdy as hardsuits go.

As for potential, well, half the reason I posted the "Fortnight" series was to see what sort of interesting part combos people would use on it. Didn't really take off, though.

That's the problem, you see; after a while, a builder just uses the same combos over and over, and new ones don't show up very often; I mean, if it ain't broke...

Oh very much yes
Your hardsuits are very nice but the thing that makes them really great is all the variations you built of them.
I especially like the black guard, great work!
