That was a colored pencil effect.
This one is an oil paint then I did a colored pencil over it.
Blended back to original 50/50

Water color
Water color (above) with pencil over it
The pencil helps to blend out the hard edges that are created by the water color, which makes it look too computery.

Being able to take the 3d curse off an image will help.
That house is done by me in Lightwave. The 3 car garage was the new addition.
