Transformers in cloan brand

Post by jodokast » Mon Jul 04, 2011 10:38 am

So I was in the Walmart and saw some transformers in cloan brand bricks. Has anyone run into this yet? What are your thoughts?

As much as I like Transformers, this is heresy. (Well, I may have to pick up some G1 cloan minifigs...)

Meh, maybe I'll pick up a small set, for the robot headpiece. Those look kinda neat and useful for super robot projects.

Wow, another building brick company that's just as expensive as Lego? How long are they going to stick around?

I was gonna say. I distinctly remember reading about this in another thread.

As for the quality of the sets, at least they don't look like mangled turds, like the Mega Bloks versions did. I'll probably get one just to reverse engineer it.

I knew they were Hasbro, but they've only been around this year. I wasn't aware they were on the same level COST-wise as Lego though. That's just dumb.

One of the main reasons misinformed parents buy clone-brands is because they're cheaper. To them all building bricks are Lego brand. But if they see two sets he same size and price, but one actually says "LEGO" on it, they'll probably buy that one.

I agree. Bumblebee sounded more like an angry New Yorker if you ask me.

These look like a VAST improvement over Built to Rule. The animations actually make them look pretty cool. Anybody bought some of these?
