DC Press Release here.
The new LEGO DC Universe SUPER HEROES collection will feature 13 iconic super heroes in LEGO minifigure form, including: Batman™, Robin™, Catwoman™, The Joker, The Riddler™, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn™, Bane, Bruce Wayne, Superman™, Lex Luthor™ and Wonder Woman™. Buildable characters will include Batman, The Joker and Green Lantern. Select figures will be on display in the LEGO booth (#2829) at Comic-Con International at the San Diego Convention Center July 21-24.
Oh, and it looks like Lego has a preliminary site up with several contests.
That would be here.
Discuss away.

So it's basically the Batman line again, but with new characters?

It sounds like a Collectable Minifigure series, except with superheroes. It's pretty cool, though not something I'd really look at.

Superman hair will go nice for dark ages hero, and green lantern looks pretty sick as commando armor. Never really been much into lego superhero lines for the sets the parts can make it pretty worth while.
EDIT: just read over at FBTB.net that some of the first Marvel figs will be Captain America, The Hulk and Iron Man
Been here longer then pretty much all of you or some shit.

Well most superheroes are mutants, after all.

It looks like the line will have proper sets, too, not just minifigs.
"The LEGO Super Heroes: DC Universe Batcave set..."
I wonder if these will be based on the various film versions, or on the comics, or on the IP as a whole.

Doesn't matter for the full-facemask ones. I've heard there's going to be a Deadpool fig, for instance. Who wouldn't be excited about that?

It looks like there also will be sets, the website mentions a new Batcave set.

I was about to say "Oh, no Deadpool', but this post then proceeded to make my day.

I hope they make a couple versions, one minifig sized and one bigger-than-minifig sized.
