Official Lego Video Games Topic

Postby Timedude » Mon Aug 08, 2011 1:31 pm

Discuss here anything having to do with Lego Video Games, especially:
-Lego Star Wars
-Lego Batman
-Lego Harry Potter
-Lego Indiana Jones
-Lego Pirates
-Lego Universe MMO

Other Lego Video Games can of course be discussed here also, as well as any new themed games that may occur in the future.

Carry on like Bonn-o-Tron.

LEGO died for me (a little bit) as soon as they started to buy licenses in the late 90s. Lego is about creativity. And then they've started to copy famous films. How could they? I'll never forgive them!
I've never bought and/or played any of these games.

My main reason for making this topic is because I loaded Lego Star Wars (Prequels) on my computer and played through a good portion of it yesterday. I think I finally stopped twards the end of EP2. I've played through it before (not on the same computer), and it's still fun. Gotta say, though, playing co-op with somebody who knows the ins and outs of every single level is annoying. I played some with my brother, who has gotten 100% completion on it before... It made it a little frustrating.

I may get Lego Batman down the road. I played through a demo which had two levels, and it was great fun.

I still have it, I keep thinking about popping it into the computer again sometime. I also have Lego Racers 2 on the Game Boy Advance, but that's a shitty game.

All the Lego games sucked until they started doing licenses. Except Lego Racers.

I personally hope they'll take their tried and true formula they've perfected with the licensed games by Traveler's Tales and apply it to some original Lego themes. But it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I'd be willing to bet Traveler's Tales has something to do with it.

Lego Island was pretty fun, too. As a kid, changing the colour of people's legs, arms, hands, etc. was the best thing ever.

I've played all of the Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter with my kids.... They don't hold my attention for more than 30 minutes.
