My Brick Warrior Order

Post by Hoboman » Sat Sep 10, 2011 4:09 pm

My Brick Warrior Order

I received my Brick Warrior order on Saturday and wanted to share what I got with you guys. The Photos should link to bigger shots.

The full order: I went with a small mix of armor, helms, and weapons.

Here are the items next to common lego elements so you have a better idea of size.

Here a few of my Orcs are modeling the new stuff. I like how the armor and helms fit. Very nice.

I really like the armor. Lost them both to Hobo Jr. The helm with the ponytail was ok, but the other helm looks real good. The Prototype gift was nice and fit well with the figures. My only disapointment was the Heave Gear weapon. I agree with many folks, looks like I took an old GI Joe weapon and used it for my Legos. If felt like it lacked the Lego Style. But all of them are good molds etc.

My personal favorite is the Axe. I love the large feel.

When ti came time to clean up, I had a hard time getting some of the elements back from the Orcs and from Hobo Jr. Another order will be placed this weekend.

Can elements connect to the non-Heavy rifles?

Very interesting. The Russian assault rifle, specal forces SMG, and silenced sniper rifle are at the top of my list. I'm really interested in these...

The helmets are my fave.

Is the combination of GoW helmet and the Horned Armor at all aesthetically pleasing? Also, how close is the color match between BrikWarrior's dye and TLC pearl dark grey? I know you have them side by side in the picture, but I'm color-blind (which I know defeats the purpose of my even asking...but humor me, lol).

fairly close, from what it seems. TLC's green dragon helmets look like they match in color pretty well, if not perfectly. Also, did you manage to order any resistance armor for your next order? I would love to know what that looks like.

The armor really does look like the best thing here... if it came in black, that would be utterly awesome.

Ok, next order has come in. Pictures are links to larger images.

First some Minotaurs. I bought enough to make four. I do believe I am going to switch out the horns though.

The one on the right is how the head comes, the middle one I turned the horns, the one on the left I replaced the horns with the newer cow horns from Lego.

How's plastic quality? Does it feel cheap or is it on par with lego?

It feels the same as Lego to me. As to will in last as long etc only time will tell, but it is not like Mega-Crap stuff or that soft rubbery plastic like the new weapons from Lego.

it has a stud on the back? I want. Seriously, those armors both look great, though I would love to see them in better colors (perhaps bley or pearl silver).

Take another look, morganm. The plates on the front are flat.
