Round 2

Undead NPC's - (Next time I will likely wait for your orders before posting their turn to make things more difficult, eh eh eh)

Partially thanks to Brockram's feat, the undead failed to execute any Dragon Knights again.

Image

The flames had almost reached the dragon knights on the pyre.

"Save us!"

Image

A skeleton charged Garth...

Image

He easily warded it off and destroyed it however.

Image

The foolish charge had just been a diversion for the skeleton champion to launch a surprise attack from behind however...

Image

"You thought I didn't see that coming?"

... but heroic feats don't lend themselves well to such sneaky behaviour and a critical failure for the skeleton and some good rolls on Garth's part meant a surprise jab destroyed him.

Image

The Nightmare rolled forward and opened fire with its magic lances. One shot got Garth pretty badly, but not badly enough.

Image

The officer was the last to attack.

Image

He suffered the same fate as his comrade.

Image

The wraith attempted to cause Brockram's shield to overheat.

Image

Instead his own shield disappeared.

Image

Snarling, he summoned a new one, and seeing the allies in his vicinity defeated he decided it would be best to turn and run for now. Brockram got a free attack...

Image

The warlock left a trail of blood behind as he ran (-1 HP).

Image

The squad moved towards where it seemed they would be needed most.

Image

The giant skeleton wanted to cleave both heroes, but damage sucked a bit and the chieftain held him off.

Image

The tower skeletons opened fire...

Image

An escapee died, and off-screen the chieftain's Kaadu took a hit (-1 HP).

Escapees - NPC

Image

They ran on as fast as they could, careful not to get in the way of the horses.

Sir Garth - Predator

Image

Garth rounded the corner. He was faster than the skeletons and cut one down before they could strike back.

Image

When they did, he only just got hit, however, despite blocking a lot of the damage (-1 HP).

Image

Garth then thought about freeing some of his comrades. He still had his heroic feat... But what could he really do from here?

Sir Konrad - Falk

Image

Sir Konrad and his men rushed to Garth's aid.

Image

Two skeletons crumpled down, but one Wolfpack knight paid for it with his life.

Miranda Oneshot - Rev. Sylvanus

Image

The ranger woman tried to fire a rope...

Image

... but ended up entangling herself with a roll of 1 vs 6 :?

"Um, guys?"

Mudi - Silverdream

Image

Mudi chucked his gun into his backpack...

Image

... because he'd be needing both his hands!

Image

With a literally bone-shattering strike he knocked the giant skeleton down by breaking its foot, and also damaged it (2 HP remain).

Furbeasts - Alphacon

Image

Orders were simply enough:
'keep attacking everything'
Image

Everything...?

Image

No, let's not do that. Maybe next time. The chieftain landed another crushing blow on the giant (-1 HP).

Image

He then pushed himself up as far as he could though.

Image

The strike knocked the Furbeast off his Kaadu, failing to damage him, but the momentum sent him crashing down with enough force to deal 1 HP damage and disrupt the chieftain.

Image

Rolling crit after crit after crit, the pup scattered the final squad skellie to the four winds.

Sir Brockram - Zahru II

Image

"Taste the wrath of the First Marshal, fiend!"

Image

A critical success for the Marshal meant he not only rode right over the enemy hero, he also inspired the dragon knights to survive for another round. The warlock died screaming as he was trampled into the dust.

A good round for the heroes, I'd say.
