Ambush valley (HH)
M.A.S.S. came and conquered planets across the galaxy where they first appeared, annihilating all who opposed them.
Or almost all. Resistance movements rose up, but as they were young they could not readily strike. Attempting to take advantage of this, Grand General Wolfenstein, as he came to be known, ordered several small units to patrol the planets for any sign of rebels.
This is one such unit on the surface of the planet Utao.
They proceeded to pass through the valley, unaware of the rebel troops lying in wait.
At this point they come to a stop, sensing that something is wrong.
But all too late. The first few rebels spring into action, and in an instant both the CC specialists are down, despite their thickened armor. Stolen M.A.S.S fusion weaponry proves to be a valuable asset. The fourth man survives, but barely.
Furious, he grabs an energy grenade, shoves it through the window to his right, and dives away. "EAT ENERGY GRENADE, YOU FUCKERS!" The resulting explosion also set off a crate of makeshift grenades even as it flung them away. There were no survivors.
Another trooper burns a hole through a rebel marksman.
The man at the front received a blast which totally vaporized his head.
Having rushed around the corner, the man who tossed the grenade falls victim to the rebel leaders multigun(minigun, grenade launcher, and sawn-off. A mop attachment was also planned, for cleaning off blood and whatnot.)
Two others falls victim to various rifle fire, including the rebel sniper in the distance.
A M.A.S.S trooper follows suit of his fallen comrade, and picks up the other CC's grenade. "TAKE THIS, YOU BASTARD!"
*thunk.*
His failure of a throw still manages to take out a rebel, but not the one he aimed at. He somehow survives, though he's been thrown well off of his feet.
A helpful chap, his brother in arms helps him back up.
...while the third surviving trooper manages to take down the rebel leader and an RPG soldier in the same salvo of energy.
The Harbinger now starts getting into the fray, and is instantly effective. A combination of its heavy fusion cannon and kinetic assault cannon obliterates the wall and makes mincemeat out of those behind it.
A combination of sniper fire and a lucky shot from a .45 pistol later, one of the five remaining troopers is killed.
The rest of the rebels, previously biding their time, start to move up.
A burst of energy fire wipes out the driver and gunner of a vehicle which had been hiding in the back, AND manages to break the HMG's mount.
With fury gained from wasting his action the previous turn on a now-dead guy, the helpful trooper causes another rebel falls to high intensity energy.
Another shot of energy. "Wait, what's that noise?
KABOOM! A 1 in 1,000,000 chance fatal system error(literally) results in...another fatality.
The heavy fusion cannon yet again manages to obliterate completely whatever it fires at.
Panicking, the surviving RPG unit fires at an approaching trooper. It works.
While sniper fire claims the last. Now only the Harbinger remains.
Its heavy fusion cannon claims another life, searing off an arm. It has one shot left.
The two rebels, realizing that the harbinger was about to turn on them, gather up their explosive weapons and take cover. The sniper dropper his gun and began to move towards the vehicle.
Thanks to the shield attachment, the rebel survives a volley from the chaingun.
He then cheers as a combination of grenade and RPG fire manage to crack the Harbinger's armor.
The pilot of the Harbinger does not appreciate the gesture and responds by vaporizing him with the last barrel.
The sniper gets into the car and backs up, while the man with the RPG reloads. The harbinger missed the following turn.
Hoping to knock the harbinger down, the ex-sniper puts his foot on the accelerator and tries to run it over. He wasn't a physics major.
The other guy fires a rocket, but it misses.
The pilot, who most likely has a better understanding of physics, introduces the rebel to something smarter than him: bullets.
Can't be doing anything for that leather upholstery.
Now out of options, the last rebel picks up the HMG and pops off a shot at the Harbinger. To his amazement, it hits!
...and pings harmlessly off of the Harbingers 1.5 inch thick bulletproof canopy.
The kinetic assault cannon finally finishes off the last rebel, and the battle. The pilot returns to base, leaving behind more than 2 dozen dead bodies. He's survived to fight another day.

Nice! Let's get going on reviewing "Ambush Valley"!
Gameplay: The beginning looked a bit staged, but otherwise seemed like a pretty good, violent conflict. It certainly wasn't a curbstomp for either faction, so I'm giving a 4.
Photography: Some of the pictures are a bit blurry, but you made up for it with the photo edits. 3.
Violence: Everything is real violent, with the edited details giving some added character. I liked how close both sides came to utter defeat. 5.
Writing: Good story, good details. Not much else to say. 4
Overall Appeal: I really liked this report. Your battlefield was good, and the report was highly engaging. Excellent job, mgb519!
Overall Score: 4/5 (Average of all scores, rounded)

Alright, let's get shit done.
Gameplay: Fucking five. It seemed pretty even for both sides, and I admire the use of mecha and guerilla tactics.
Photography: Fucking Five. The shots are good, the pictures are clear and the editing is pretty damn cool.
Violence: 4.9(rounded to five), although there was plenty of explosions, and deaths and chaos and gore, the Walker never was destroyed.
Writing: 5. It was enjoyable to read, but it wasn't the greatest thing ever, but since you tied it in with the Immortal War I'll give you a five.
Overall Appeal: Fucking awesome. I'm thinking about stealing my Best Friend's girlfriend and this distracted me with cool figs, violence and story.
Average of scores: 5
