Epic War in a Sinful Universe

Post by Adean » Fri Jul 18, 2008 4:49 pm

I just purchased Sins of a Solar Empire. It's EPIC. Massive fleets of warships blasting at each other with rail guns and lasers. And when I say massive I mean HUGE. Hundreds of ships at once!!!

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else had the game. I'm a pretty casual player, and I'm not very good yet, so I was hoping to play some casual games with some people I "know".

I love this game. My computer can barely handle the graphics but its still completely epic.
I try to play online, but I always lag out. :(

I think my brother has it on Gametap, and it looks interesting so I might give it a try.

I've seen it at target, I thought about picking it up.
I think I will now.

If you have a piece of crap, make sure to put everything at medium or low graphics quality. That'll make it run smoother.

I was surprised however with how well it runs in comparison to other games that have similar requirements. I'm able to run all the graphics at the highest quality and still have the game run relatively well. I tune it down for online play though, to minimize lag.

Anyways, there's not a lot of traffic online since it's still a pretty new game, but we likely won't meet up randomly in the pre-game lobby. You guys let me know if you want to get a game together and we'll set a time.

The online community is pretty dead, a lot of people with the game don't even touch online. I'm up for a game though.

That's true, the game is pretty epic by itself, but pwning comps gets boring fast in my opinion. What time-zone you in kid?

Sweet ossumness. The more the merrier. Unfortunately I'm west coast time. So if we're all gonna play together we should do it around noon/late morning central time. I forget what EST time is LoL. In fact, I suck with times in general. Anyone wanna suggest a time?
