Post-Apoc Vehicles

Post by Scottsman » Fri Dec 09, 2011 8:30 pm

So I after seeing the PARV I have decided to do a forum battle with a similar thing. I wanted to know if aanyone had suggestions for post apoc vehicles and other such thing for the battle. Feel free to try and grab a spot as well, but no guarantees for now, it won't be till after Manly Santa Day.

sand seemed to work well as a color, but I'm always preferential to greys.

Yeah, I'm getting about 4 more of the biggest baseplate they have as part of my Manly Santa Day haul. The moving base ( a focal point for this battle) so far is using one of the ones I already have, and may use another. Since this thing is pretty big, I have christened it the Double Rainbow, since there is no way I can get much color coordination on it.

I would say check out this page,

Also, consider going a killdozer type vehicle. (someone did that a while ago, if I recall correctly.)

Be sure to have lots of little motorcycles zipping around, and technicals (Pickup trucks with mounted machineguns or other weapons) are good fun. Stocking up on mohawks is also highly recommended.

For a perfect post-apoc game, you should have:

6. Awesome, powerfully efficient post-apoc and pre-apoc technology (like in Fallout)
7. Sweet-looking vehicles and badass wasteland warriors (Mad Max?)
8. Horrifying mutants and/or zombies with incredible strength and perhaps supernatural powers (Metro 2033)

Just spitballing here. As for the battle, I can't wait to see.

Zombies wn't likely show up, as the entire battle takes place in motion, all thing moving relative to the Double Rainbow. I'll look into basic vehicles, and then I can probably stick guns on them. Need to figure out more ways to get up onto the Double Rainbow, though.

Thought of something like that. I took to front part of the agents mobile base and now have it towing a flat platform with a catapult and 10 explosive barrels. I also have a small truck with a harpoon gun attached to a chain people can climb.

What I normally do is build a normal modern vehicle, then rip off a bunch of random junk, make the windows look broken, and stick on armor and weapons.

I've found that the dino attack vehicles from 2005 are great for post-apoc, especially the fire hammer and the dune buggy-thing (I can't remember the name). Some of the vehicles from the new dino line also look pretty good, namely the jeep and the big truck-thing that comes with a triceratops.
